When it absolutely, positively MUST work
When it absolutely, positively MUST work They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so how much is this video saying? So I pretty much think the video says it all but there may be a couple of questions. The paper is simple laser printer paper and a pen is a Zebra F-701. There’s been comes in some of the crappy us staying on earth but it has the fisher space pen refill inside it and it fits mostly it is a little bit tight so if you widen or snip the silicone collar inside the metal tip of the pen , it’s smooths out quite a bit. The liquid is water despite many of my friends determined to believe it is vodka. I suppose it would work as well but the ink might run a little more. Anyway who’s going to waste that much vodka? I’m actually surprised when I run into somebody who’s never used his space pen at some point in their life. Is the ink the prettiest? No. Does it right the smoothest? No. But does it write where nothing else will write and on what nothing else will write? Absolutely. And actually it writes pretty darn smoothly all things considered. I prefer the medium points for smoothness and line is still quite fine. It uses a ceramic bowl in the point and I think that’s responsible for a smoother flow and smoother writing experience than a steel bearing point is. Some people complain that there’s a little difference between the fine in the medium points and maybe you said but I think they’re really missing the point of this pen. I take them camping and hiking. They write in the rain quite well ( I pair them with the “Rite-In-The-Rain notebook ) You can keep them in your car in the heat isn’t going to destroy them. They’re not going to explode in your pocket and they write a lot better on airplanes than my other pens. In my experience the cartridges last a considerably longer time that other ball points as well. The ink never dries up or evaporates. Being left-handed one tends to smudge over the things they write and this is permanent oil base think that dries very quickly so I usually don’t run into that problem like I can with other ball points and fountain pens. I’ve not been impressed with the actual pen construction that Fisher makes recently but the refills are still solid. They’re not cheap comparatively but they’re still affordable. It is far as I’m concerned it’s twice with a regular refill is but I’d last three times as long so it actually is a better value. And this thing does what no other pen made can do . If this is an a five star product then I don’t know what is.

Great refill for an even greater pen
Best pen out there. Writes on any and all surfaces and in any temperature and it's indelible. I just wish they offered an ultra fine point instead of just the fine point. Refill lasts a long time and is easy to buy and use.

Changed my relationship with the Space Pen
I've had a Fischer Space Pen (bullet) for years as a backup, go-anywhere pen, and, to be honest, I hated it. The ink was extremely inconsistent. Sometimes it would run spider-web thin and then in the same word it would suddenly lay a fat blob of ink on the page that would smear as soon as you touched it. I used the pen when nothing else was available, but couldn't stand writing with it for anything more than the shortest note. Then someone recommended I ditch the Medium Black standard refill I've been using all this time, and replace it with a Fine Blue. *Shrug* thought I, surely it will still suck. Nope, the Fine Blue refill is amazing. It's way more consistent, hardly ever blobs ink on the page, and just writes way more smoothly (to be fair, some of that "smoothness" is probably from the fact that I'm not constantly changing pressure as the ink flow goes up and down like it did on the old one). I'm really shocked at the difference in writing quality and consistency. And the craziest thing is that I was worried that the "Fine" would be almost invisible considering how the the "Medium" looks at times, but I *cannot* tell a jot of difference between the two in terms of line thickness. This is not like most pens where Medium is substantially thicker or Bolder than Fine. The only difference is one is blue, smooth, and consistent, and the other is a trainwreck. I highly recommend this refill if you're going to put it anything that runs this size cartridge. In particular, I think t's a great cartridge for the Pilot F-701.

I like it a lot
This is a really good pen refill. It works good, writes good, feel good, and fits good. I'm using the included extender piece for retrofitting into the non-Fisher pen tubes and even though the extender is plastic it still fits and works good. The writing is a good normal medium and of course it writes in any orientation. Maybe it takes more pressure to write than others are used too but I'm heavy handed when I write so I don't notice. Once the ink is flowing during writing exercise the pen glides along effortlessly and the the color is as black as it needs to be. Some may call it grey but maybe it depends on the whiteness of the paper writing on. It's dark and that fine by be, maybe the blue would be a good color to try next. This pen also writes wider than the other fisher brand for cross pen I purchased. I don't know why it would be different, medium should be medium, but it is a tad bit wider than the cross cross-fit pen.

Good but questionable
Works so far but I have noticed that the ink runs which I dont think happened with previous fisher refills

Nothing beats Fisher Space Pens
Excellent. I have used nothing but Fisher Space Pens since the mid 80's. Nothing beats them, never get dry spots ever - always writes up until it's empty, never an issue. This is the first time I have tried Maroon ink and I really like it. Not as dark as my usual black but not a bright red like a teacher's correction pen. Nice compromise.

Nice but Absolutely, Positively Will NOT Fit a Zebra F-701
Very nice refill but it will absolutely NOT fit into a Zebra F-701 metal pen. Not even close. And the modification described by another reviewer is baffling. The Fisher refill has a plastic cap that prevents the F-701 from activating the cartridge. It does not fit with our without this cap. The spring on the F-701 cartridge is far too long for the Fisher refill. It’s nice refill but it’s not meant for your Zebra as so many have suggested.

An acrobat in blue ink
Great refill. Wrote instantly, first try. You already know this refill is supposed to write upside down. Is it really such an acrobat? YES! So I tried it on other materials. It wrote easily on plasticized paper, plastic, paint, fabric, and ribbon used for wrapping. It did not write on aluminum cans. It did not write on glass. (Others say it does. Maybe I did it wrong?) I am a writer. I always write with blue ink. "Blue" has a surprisingly wide range. This ink is a fairly deep blue, basically indigo. Definitely BLUE. Not "blue-black" or anything that dark. Nice color. Very smooth writing. No skipping. No encouragement needed. As a writer I find that encouraging. I ordered the "fine" tip. The line thickness was very similar to other "fine" pens I use. It is not a "very fine" nor is it "medium". That said, it has the authority of a medium line--very easy to read. Solid. Nice. Purchased as refill for a Tungsten Steel Tactical Pen for Glass Breaker and Self-defense Mutifunctional Emergent Tool (Tungsten Steel,Black) because a review specified this refill. However it was shorter than needed. I hope this review is helpful.

Super fast delivery
All good. Packaging damaged, so no plastic cap on the refill. I suspect it had been previously opened. But, fine overall
