I mean, this isn’t a top quality set that will turn your child into the scientist that’s going to cure a disease, but they will enjoy this set and it’ll keep them busy for some time. The white lab coat is pretty cool and will double as a fun Halloween custom in the near future. The coat is also the highest quality item in the whole set. Everything else is very usable and fun, but know it is of lesser quality. Everything will last long enough to do the experiments and then some. Just don’t expect the eyedroppers to last forever.Overall this is a great set for any kid that loves science and wants to dabble in the art of it. On opening this package she played with this science kit for hours along with my 2 year old. Her favorite play was mixing colors to form new colors. I think this has a lot of potential for creative play. We are going to experiment a lot with this. Please note this is a toy for having fun and doing some cool experimentation for kids. It is not what you would use for real chemistry e.g. glass beakers and tubes, wood/metal stands.Pros:-Contains a basic set including test tubes, stand, beaker, containers, lab coat and a few extras.-Lab coat will fit 4-8y old child depending on size, so can grow with the child. We folded the arms for our 5 year old.-Plastic, stuff fell from the table from to time to time and survived the falls.-Promotes creative thinking. My daughter quickly learnt how to form colors and what is the role of various components in the kit.Cons:-Coat can have a hook to hang-Could have come with colorsThe cons are not a big deal as I had some food coloring in my house which we used. A single drop to form a color with tap water is enough. The color pack costs a few bucks and shown in picture. As a professional photographer, you can never have enough props for a set. This in-house shoot was the most fun yet. I love the quality and colors that light up the scene and the imagination. The jacket will fit 1st graders to late middle school and is a nice heavyweight fabric that is sure to get use in and out of the play set, this halloween. My son plans to make a "Dr. Zombie" costume with the lab coat. (oddly Amazon asked about the thickness and warmth for the review...)
