If you prefer to use a Roto Start with this engine, you will need 87132 Roto Start 2 Set and a standard 7.2 volt stick pack battery . The finned crank case helps keep everything running at the right temperature, and the tall finned aluminium cooling head further reduces operating temp for optimum efficiency. I started with the Traxxas Hawk and now own 10 nitro vehicles from various manufacturers. With the exception of O.S. engines, the HPI Nitro Star series is pretty good. They break-in well and run just as good. I own 2 of them, including this one. I followed the break-in instructions, but used few of my own tweaks based on experience. The engine gave me all the power I needed for my HPI RS4 Super Nitro and then some. It has been a great motor with nearly 3/4 of a gallon of fuel run through it. I highly recommend this motor to anyone who needs ease of use and plenty of power over a stock .12 and .15 motors. The factory settings were almost perfect for the NYC area.
