The three different lengths of chain are very handy and can be used singularly or together. The chains are very thin, as other reviews have pointed out, but that doesn't cause a problem with using for extending length. The greatest problem is the size of the gap in the opened up lobster claw and the internal diameter of the end ring (these are the attachments at each end of the extender chains) - they are VERY small. This means much of my existing jewellery either cannot be attached to the extenders or need to forced which makes me worried about breaking both my jewellery and the extenders. Have no idea why decent sized fastenings are not used so as to ensure a good range of fit.
