This is just what we needed. We have an outlet behind an antique buffet cabinet that we can't get to easily. We used to have to pull the cabinet out to plug in or unplug our Christmas decor. Now whatever we plug into the side outlets, which are controlled by the remote, can be easily turned off and on with the remote. We think this is an ingenious product. Hope it lasts! We were introduced to this item when I found one at Ross (very cheap). Turns out the remote didn't work, but the product without the remote is still the best device we've found for changing a two-receptacle outlet into a 6 receptacle outlet. The box did not provide a way to get a working remote, only a money-back guarantee, and we chose to keep it in spite of the defective remote. I was really happy to find the product on Amazon. If you want the one with the remote, be careful ordering. There is an identical product without the remote for a little less money. I did not realize that when I ordered the first time and ordered the wrong one.

I bought this originally thinking the whole item responded to the remote control, and was disappointed when it turned out that I hadn't read the description carefully enough. But, it turns out that with a little creativity, and something like an extension cord or surge protector, I can get exactly what I want or need in any location in the house. I plugged the surge protector into the remote-contolled side, and plug other things into the surge protector, and voila! A whole group of lights get turned on all at the same time. Very useful for Christmas decorations, too!

Love it! But remote arrived with dead battery had to replace it myself so I took off one star, they wanted me to send it back wasn't worth the trouble over a 3$ battery which is also a weird type not sold many places. Had to go to a specialty battery place. But I have one close to me. We use these in our kids room specifically to place the remote switch on the outside of their doors, that way our kids can turn the lights on from the hallway and aren't constantly asking us to go turn the light on because they are a little scared of the dark.

I love the remote feature on this plug and that you have a 6 plug option. I use this in my bathroom with the remote operating a small lamp on my counter and one in an adjoining closet.

Wish the right side outlets were on a swivel like other similar products. This one had a remote and was what I needed. Works perfectly as described.

The Swivel Remote Electric Outlet device allows me to activate the internet downstairs, so it is a real time-saving device. It works as advertised, and is a small electric wonder!
