Exquisite tea cups and saucers
The media could not be loaded. This was for the Royal Albert 100 Years Collection (1900-1940) tea cups and saucers. I was a bit worried after reading reviews about poor packing, but mine was packaged well as you can see in the video. I like the styrofoam mold for the tea cups; that helped tremendously. The box is beautiful itself, and it will keep them safe when not in use.The designs are beautiful, and the cups match the saucers perfectly. I love this set!

SO classy!
Can I tell you how much I love these? The colors are beautiful , the patterns are very elegant , and they are just the right size for my cup of tea. They look so pretty in my cupboard, they are as much a decoration as they are functional. I am a big fan of Royal Albert and these cups did not disappoint! Even though they are a little pricey, I would say they are definitely worth the cost - the box they came in looks like an old fashioned hat box in a lovely shade of pink that is very reusable. Splurge for these!

What a disappointment...
I ordered this set for Mother's Day for my mother-in-law & the box arrived right on time, BUT as my mother-in-law opened her gift, we saw that 2 out of the 5 saucers were broken. The saucers were placed in individual plastic bags and stacked on top of each other, with no cushioning foam between them. I knew it was a lack of proper packaging that made the saucers break during delivery, so I included that info in my comment when I returned the set of tea cups & saucers. I assured my mother-in-law know that I would order a brand new set of the same Royal Albert tea cups, and she would soon receive her now-belated Mother's Day gift.Seeing that this company had such high reviews, I assumed it was a rare mistake on their part to have such poor packaging, and they were likely to do a good job with my second order. Well, they went from bad to worse! When my second order/new package arrived, I handed it to my mother-in-law who opened the package in front of me and saw that there were NO saucers in there whatsoever, only tea cups! She burst out laughing, and I was angry myself! I thought, "Seriously?! What are the chances of messing up so bad, twice in a row?" And we were wondering if they would even let us return this set with missing pieces, thinking that they would believe we kept them for ourselves...What a sham! and such a disappointment. I apologized to my mom-in-law, but she felt bad for me that I was going through such hassle for a Mother's Day gift.I rarely write negative reviews...this might be just the second or third time for me. I will never order from this company again...And I don't think that anyone else should take the chance on them either, especially if they are purchasing for a gift.

Great tea cups
I got this beautiful set of cups just 3 days ago, and they look faboulous on my china cabinet!I drank tea with my husbad and tasted great I think because of those golden parts shining so brightly on the tray! They are beautiful, well made, sturdy and still elegant!I cant wait for my tea time now, since I think they look just like the ones I saw in Downton Abbey masterpiece. Thanks Royal Albert. The fact that now Royal Albert makes these in Indonesia, doesn't bother much, cause the difference with the ones made in England is not substantial...also I got them for a great price...love them

Absolutely beautiful
This was one of my all time favorite gifts, and I haven't been this excited about a present in a long time. They have held up well to use and through the dishwasher. I couldn't recommend them more to someone who loves tea as much as I do.

Nice little play pieces : )
I like to collect vintage teacups and saucers, and Royal Albert has always been a favorite; however, the vintage sets for Royal Albert can be quite expensive if you can even find the pieces you're looking for. I knew for the price that these wouldn't be as fine as my old-school teacup and saucer sets by Royal Albert and Minton, but I'm not disappointed in the least. They're a bit heavier than I'm used to, but the print on the cups is attractive enough (although, like any factory produced prints, the pattern is obvious and cold in its repetition unlike the warmth and variety in hand-painted china). This set is especially fun to pull out when I'm using the matching Royal Albert 100 years chintz teapot set with friends and in-laws who, admittedly, I might not trust using the classic stuff (terrible, I know - but it's the truth! You tea folks know what I'm talking about. There's nothing like sitting next to someone who clangs a teaspoon against fine china to set my teeth on edge!). These are like a nice print of a Monet; don't expect the intricate hand-painted look of the real deal but enjoy this set for what it is - a fun homage to the history of Royal Albert fine china. : )
