Have to drive fairly close to it to activate. ...
Have to drive fairly close to it to activate. When it is buried deep, it does not work. Only about 6" deep

Poor customer service and lousy product.
Have ordered 2 of these. First one was defective; second one lasted 2.5 years and then malfunctioned (requires replacement).Manufacturer was not helpful at all and just sent me a list of their distributors and told me to contact them.This is a very simple unit and should last for decades.I have installed several gates and related mechanisms: exit probes are always a component and this one is crap.Poor customer service and a lousy product.Do not buy any EMX products!
