Is there anything to keep the glasses from falling off the end? Thank you

Yes there is, the ends of the glass holders are raised up so to prevent the glasses from sliding off. I have used this wins shelf for a couple of months now and not one glass has fallen off.

how many glasses can I hang on each shelf

I have 4 wine glasses and 4 margarita glasses hanging on mine. But if u have skinnier glasses it could hold 5 on each. Also get better anchors the ones that they send are really loose and weak.

Any clue how much they weigh? Could they be held up with command strips?

Definitely wont holdup with command strips. Comes with mounting options 2 different kinds of wall anchors that are easy to use.

How do I assemble these? They did not come with instructions. Just an odd number of nails and tacks.

I just looked at the picture and put it together. I did purchase different nails, longer to drill into support beam.
