Using in old converted 250 watt Mercury Vapor housing
Ripped the guts out of an old 250 watt Mercury Vapor light fixture to have a simple dusk till dawn, and this put the lumens out I liked (supposedly) and was half the wattage. Well it's super bright and I'm pleased with it. Been a few months now no signs of burned out led's, though to be honest when it's on and you look up at it, you couldn't tell if a few of them were out or not it's overwhelmingly bright to look at. I'll be honest I kind of miss the noise the mercury vapor fixture made though, as odd as that sounds.

I used this in a commercial post light that originally used a 175 watt mercury vapor light bulb. I was afraid it would not be bright enough but was pleasantly surprised to find it was brighter! I removed the ballast and capacitor and wired the power directly to the socket.

Bulb worked great for almost 4 years but can't find any information to get a warranty replacement
The bulb is bright and worked great for almost 4 years. It now flashes like a strobe light constantly. It has a 5 year warranty and a date stamped on it but no way to contact the manufacturer for a warranty.

Bright light
When unscrewing the light, the metal threaded end separated from the light, which is also threaded. Just be certain not to screw it in too tight, in case you have to remove it. We put the light back in, then pushed firmly on it as we removed it and the metal threaded end came out just fine.
