It’s not easy to apply, but it looks great.
Alright I’m gonna tell everybody how it is. The product is shipped without a core but when I got mine (I ordered 2, which was just enough for the head and taillights) they were fine. To apply this effectively you will need a few things 1. A heat gun (I used a blow drier, which works but a heat gun is better) 2. A spray bottle filled with water and a few drops of soap 3. A squeegee (preferably one with a felt tip) 4. Time (it took me about 30 minutes per light) 5. LOTS of patience, this is NOT a sticker and unless your surface is as flat as a board you’re going to have to work the material a little What you’re gonna want to do is clean your headlights, get all that gunk off there so the film can stick. Then spritz a little bit of that soapy water on the headlight, peel the back off the film, and start to lay it. Make sure you keep the film tight as you lay it down to keep it from wrinkling. Squeegee it and apply heat as you go, making sure there are no bubbles. If you think you can just get that little bubble later, you can’t. Just go back and lay it down again it’ll be okay. Squeegee and heat and repeat until you’ve got it. Tuck the edges if you can, or just stick em down good. DONT FORGET there’s another layer on top of the film that you need to peel off. You can lift it at an edge with a piece of tape pretty easily. I’ve never done this before, and mine weren’t great, but from a few feet away they look great. It’s not easy to do, that’s why there are places who do this for money, but it can be done. You can do it with one pair of hands, but it was significantly easier with two. The photos show the “light black” option

Get it! It’s not dark it’s perfect if you want a light tint :)
I tinted my headlights and it came out perfectly!! I ordered the dark black at first and it was way too dark 😅 so I ordered this light black, it’s perfect! The installation was so easy, the application was pretty easy. It’s stretchy even without the heat to mold to your lights.

Not worth a dime or the time.
First off, i have a lot of experience with vivvid and 3m films. In just the past year, i have wrapped 5 whole cars and more than 30 vehicles- tail/head/fog/accent lights and interiors. That said, this is probably the worst film i've ever used. The adhesive separates from the film very easily, which means whatever you are applying it to will be covered with the adhesive lining when it pulls up(and it will). It doesn't stretch/heat as well as the other brands. I tried different methods, from slow and low heat to fast and high. When none of that yielded acceptable results, i just stuck it to a dirty (uncleaned)window (with no heat and room temperature of about 77°)... peeled the film off after it sitting there for a minute.... adhesive stuck to the dirty window and the film was almost completely free of adhesive. After that, i cut a 4"x4" piece of film and held onto it with both hands while rubbing my thumb in the same spot. By the 4-5th pass, i was able to roll the films adhesive right off the film.

Don't Get Discouraged!
When the smashed-up roll of film arrived, I immediately felt I had just wasted my money. I ran to the reviews to see what other people thought about the film. I read all of the One-Star reviews looking to agree on what we received. I saw novice reviews and pro reviews, but they all sounded like it was going to be their first time applying tint to a taillight to me. This was going to be my first time too, so I thought, why not give it a shot! I researched YouTube for 30 mins, then attempted my first piece. The sheet of tint is not that much, so I decided to tape the film to the car, then trace the light out with a marker. The film comes with a clear protective sheet on the front AND back, so what I marked and did not cut off came off with the plastic. Alone with it being my first time, I got a bit heavy-handed with the blow dryer and found out about working with vinyl FAST. It does not need too much heat. Don't melt your vinyl. Once I tinted the two lights on the trunk, I didn't have much tint left to work with. I was going to remove what I applied and order tint on a spool. I then watched a few videos of people applying "Pre-Cut tint" made for their taillights in particular. I then took what I had left to the car and traced around the meat of my taillight, and the top corners of the lights pointing forward. I fried the tint a few times trying to dry water bubbles, so it's definitely not perfection, but I'm proud. The tint looks very sleek at night; I've got the aggressive look going on now. I wrote this review after worrying I wouldn't be able to use this product, subsequently using all of it. It comes rolled up like a blow dart gun, smashed with creases. However, when you un-roll the tint, it is predominantly the protection that is creased and the film is fine. I suggest you tape, trace, and pre-cut the tint before applying. Do not slap this whole tint sheet over your light. It worked great in pieces, rather than when I tried to tint the entire light. Heating the tint will allow you to stretch and form the vinyl around the light, but too much heat will start to melt it. And don't use a credit card, the blade should be rubber. Check out YouTube. I am pretty satisfied for the $6 worth of tint. Once you do your first light, you get better and better until your out. I want to order another sheet to practice now but I am out of cars. Once I perfect tinting taillights, you might catch the service posted on OfferUp!

Great, but for a Strange Use Case
So, I am going through my bedroom and tinting all of the stupid green and blue and amber LEDs to reds. This stuff is cheap and works perfectly for this. I can cut to size, peel, stick, and trim, and everything is now in a red spectrum. I have covered all power strip LEDs, phone charger LEDs, LED clock radio displays, BiPAP and O2 concentrator LCD panels, as well as the water level check view port on the BiPAP, which can glow blue when cold. Dumb that a sleep assist device would use anything but red, but this fixes it. The stickiness seems great. Even if this stuff begins to peel after some months, there is enough here to redo everything several times over, so I am OK with that. It really seems good, though. There are two clear plastic layers. The outside layer is covering the glue. The amount of light which is allowed through is awesome. I have switched from the cheap "brake light bandaid" tape that would never allow enough light through. There has been one super bright LED on a power button that required that I double up with this tint. That was all. But, when it only takes 1/2 x 1/2 inch of material, no big deal. Our sleep has never been better! If you are interested in the reasoning behind this, search for "red blue light circadian rhythm". It really does matter.

Multiple uses!
This was exactly what I was looking for (though way more than I needed lol). Got this for blocking some of the harsh b&w light on my baby monitor (too harsh on the lowest setting even at night), and it works super well! Makes the light more pink/red. Helped a LOT those first few weeks with all the middle of the night waking up & feeding once he was in his crib, especially, and still does! Super easy to cut and apply. Not sure about residue afterward, but great so far. Will use more for seeing the synchronized fireflies in June!

The color is just right. Stays on.
A crazy homeless man threw a very large rock at my car and hit my tail light. I got an estimate for $1600, but I said no and I'm going to live with the dent in the paint, and patch the tail light myself. The vinyl sheet comes tightly rolled up, but it's rolled so that if you cut a small piece, the corners curl away from the adhesive. This could be why some reviewers say it comes off quickly. I tried to un-curl it a little, then I stuck it on my tail light. I took the whole roll and un-wound it and rolled it up the opposite direction to see if it would flatten out the vinyl sheet. I'll let you know if that works. If the first piece peels off, I'll try to flatten it out more before applying it. The color is just right and it is thick and seems like it should last for a long time. Update - this stuff works great! I stuck a small piece on the hole in my tail light, and it has not moved or come loose in about a week of rain and cold weather.
