Yes, i had 3" or 4" long spike in front stay up well. If you have a fan or something blow air on your hair it will help it and look natural

is this safe to use on toddler hair?

It gave me a rash on my scalp as an adult. So I wouldn’t trust it on a child.

Will this gel hold hair 5inches or taller or no?

I used the same kind but it was a white gel and it did work on my sons mohawk for about 6 years. But I think this one is the Clear gel and we used it once and didn't seem to work as well.

I dont recall alcohol, but I guess it is possible. Its a pretty good product, I'd get it again.

Sticky

I like most Axe products and have tried numerous hair products from different brands. This Axe Gel feels sticky. If you touch your hair at all with this in your hair it puts a sticky residue on your hands like the same as honey would. Holds good, has a nice shine but I've realized after a few days that I have been needing to wash the residue off a few times a day.
