Attractive, Well Made and Easy to Install
This was very easy to put together and then install. All the required hardware was present and all the requisite holes lined up perfectly. Additionally, my 27+ year old mailbox was easily mounted; again, all the holes lined up perfectly. It's a very attractive assembly and installation was quite easy; I purchased the Gibraltar 4x4 Easy-Install Anchor Post Kit along with this post and the two products worked well together. Good value and I would purchase again, but this aluminum post will undoubtedly outlive me.

The pole looks great and is very sturdy
The pole looks great and is very sturdy. My mother-in-law backed into my existing post and snapped the top off. I had it held together with screws, lots of them. This was the perfect fix for me because it didn't require setting a new post, and in fact, only needed the bottom (good) portion of what I did have. I did dig up the ground a little around my old post so the sleeve would slide down below ground level. This let my mailbox set the recommended height off the road, otherwise it would have been a bit high. It also gave it the appearance as if it were a brand new, in-the-ground, post. Installation time was about 30 minutes.

Well worth the money!
Great product. Easy to assemble...at least that's what my Dear Husband said. Very sturdy, and looks great!

Quality but a little complex to install.
Looks nice and is sturdy. I recommend getting bronze wood screws (fortunately I had them) to attach the post to the underlying 4x4. The screws that come with it are shiny chrome. Also be aware that attaching the box to the post is a two-person job - one to hold the hex nuts from underneath while someone uses a screwdriver to tighten the bolts from inside the mailbox.

Looks great!
Very nice mailbox post. Was a snap to install as I already had a wooden mailbox post which I just sawed off about 4 feet from ground level. Slipped this one over the post, screwed it in, and then attached post arm with ratchet and electric screwdriver. Install, including attaching new mailbox, took about 3 minutes. Looks great!

Support broke - twice!! And worse...
Put this in 3 years ago: Simply wanted a new attractive mailbox assembly. Looked great when first installed but as soon as snow plow went by mailbox was hanging as the support bent. Taped it up to survive the rest of the winter. Replaced the support to the tune of an additional $35. Next winter - wham - same thing. Sawed of top of pole and attached mailbox directly onto to top of pole - looks stupid but... Now coating peeling off! All of this in less than 3 years: thatโs about $100 a year and several headaches. Do not recommend.

Great Post
This mailbox post was exactly what I expected. It has all metal contruction, both the post and the arm, and the finish is very good. The "plate" that is used to mount the box gives you several options for mounting different size boxes. Overall I'm very pleased with this product.

poor quality screws and missing bolts.
4 bolts missing, the screws appear to be pour quality, they stripped easily with a hand screw driver and I have arthritis in my hands. Other than that it appears ok. Sylvia Gibson
