Thank you Stefanie Caponi for this extremely easy to understand, comprehensive, and practical guide book! It starts with introductions of all scopes, intro to the practice, uses, and even has an exercise where you can introduce yourself to your new deck before diving deeper practices and shows different spreads further into the book! What I love the most about this guide is the glossary aspect for the cards so you can find exactly which cards means what! There's even resource pages in the back with just the image and the exact title to find what page it's on (Side note, I uses the Rider Tarot Deck and its the exact one depicted in the book, I recommend this as someone's who starting out to other beginners who's just trying to get a feel of the different cards and meanings with a guide that uses the same depictions!) Another thing I adore about this guide is that it does not provide false hope AND it does not drag on. I, personally, really lean away from guides that have grand, lavish promises of immediately solving all your problems, see into the future, all these grandiose possibilities, with little to no information as to how it actually works. This guide however is true to its name and provides the needed information to understand readings without any long filler, as well as making it clear that this is for self intution, self guidance, and NOT a tool to predict the future, more like a tool to look within oneself to reflect and embrace the energy of possibilities while aligning your goals within the process. I am grateful towards this guidebook for aiding in my self discovery journey, as well as the author for providing a wonderful, in-depth guide. Happy card reading!

The Guided Tarot is a really great book—especially for someone like me who usually looks everything up online and prefers digital learning. Even with all that, I still felt like I needed a quick physical guide I could reference anytime I pulled a card or wanted to go deeper. This book is exactly that. For someone with a short attention span, this book is a blessing. It’s quick, to the point, and doesn’t ramble on for pages. You want to know what the Five of Cups means? Just flip to it—it covers love, friendship, relationships, money, career, and more, all in one concise page. The imagery and interpretations are right there and easy to grasp. I also love the layout—clean, direct, and thoughtfully structured. The size is perfect too: smaller than my 11-inch iPad, so it’s easy to carry around. It’s the quick-reference tarot companion I was looking for. If you’re doing deep, academic tarot study, this might not be the book for you. But if you want a clear, handy guide as you learn to read your cards, this is perfect.

I’ve been interested in tarot for a few years. I was gifted a beautiful deck several years ago by a friend which did come with a card-sized guide book, but being so small there wasn’t much to go off of. I dabbled for a few weeks but often felt frustrated at the limited guidance offered by the little booklet. I recently backed a kickstarter for a gorgeous deck (The Lighted Window tarot deck). I very much love it but I had the same experience with the (even smaller!) tiny booklet with very brief information about the meanings of the cards. I was inspired anew to seek out resources to learn more about the meanings of the cards. I am SO grateful and relieved to have found this book. Wow. This book has *everything* I was looking for, and much more that I didn’t even know I wanted. A actual-size color illustration of each card (from the classic Rider Waite deck), keywords for both upright and reversed readings, an explanation of the artwork of each card, and a more detailed explanation of potential interpretations. There’s a brief sampling of some common spreads, including the famous Celtic Cross, which always felt inaccessible to me before finding this book. There’s also a section in the beginning that explains the meanings of the various elements of each card (court cards, numerology, the suits and the elements they represent, etc). It’s all fascinating and extremely illuminating. This book has increased both my understanding of tarot and my enjoyment of the entire process of reading the cards and learning more about their meanings. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about tarot.

This book is perfect for anyone starting to read tarot! I’m primarily an oracle reader, but I wanted to make learning tarot a little easier, and this guide has been such a great help. The explanations are clear, practical, and easy to understand, which makes it less intimidating to learn the card meanings and spreads. I’ve been using it alongside the tarot course I’m taking online, and together they’ve really helped me feel more confident in my practice. A must-have resource for beginners!

I absolutely love this book! Iam very new to Tarot, and it gives such great insight and understanding to what each card represents by the card in general, love, careers, a general reading. The only thing Inwas pretty upset about and why I gave it 4 stars is it doesn’t have anything about any cards that are “the coins”?! I flipped back and forth and counted every card and thought I was going crazy, and people mention the coins are the pentacles but yes this is and is not true, that is the only disappointment about the book, so I feel like I need to buy a different one :(

I really like this book. I've been studying for less than a year and have purchased a few other books on Tarot that I also appreciate very much. I find myself grabbing this one more than I thought I would. Honestly, I bought it because the price was right and now I love it. Each card is given the upright, reversed, numerology, and astrology associations with concise keyword reference. Also, each card is given general, concise interpretations for general, love/romance, career/ money, personal spiritual, and reversed. Simply written and articulated nicely. It's very colorful. There is a keyword quick-reference guide at the back for Major and Minor Arcanas that I still need to reference since retaining everything that I learn with so many variables on so many levels, is daunting to say the least. As with all of my books, not everything resonates with me as I am learning the language of the cards, but that's ok...I still reach for this book to strengthen my memory. Sweet and easy.

Good, easy to understand. Amazingly complete. I want to create my own deck and had no clue where to start. This book has an entire section covering original decks. Highly recommend.
