I have an LG DLGX2802W (gas) dryer. The original filter broke and i just bought the filter screen. the filter screen didn't fit perfectly in the guide cover so clothes got caught and twisted up the filter edge.Now that I bought BOTH items, it installed smoothly and fit into place. The end of the filter screen isn't completely flush with the guide, but there is no way clothes are going to get until the lip of the filter. It's a nice, snug connection.

This does not fit perfectly - don’t expect it to but it was the best option I could find including from the LG website. It is working and doesn’t have any jagged edges.

Do not buy this expecting a quick and cheap fix for your dryer. Fool me twice, shame on me. First one broke during a dryer cycle which seemed odd. I chalked it up as a fluke. Second one broke during install trying to make the lint screen fit right.Issue: the products are warped, fit poorly and are made of very brittle plastic. The lint screen will stick up slightly from the carrier. This presents an opportunity for a clothing item to catch it, destroying the clothing item and the brittle lint screen plastic.Attempt two with a new part involved me trying to get it to sit flush with the lint screen carrier. This was not possible via any adjustment of the carrier. No, I do not have a build up of lint in my dryer keeping the carrier or screen from being pushed all the way down. The screen housing plastic is so brittle that it broke while trying to get it to simply sit flush in the carrier (which I now see that it cannot without significant removal of plastic via blade or sanding).Don't waste your time or believe the glowing reviews.EDIT: It would appear that even the part LG sold was bad. There is a redesigned part that includes a new lint screen and carrier. The part has a chamfered edge near the sides. Recommend you do a search I could not find it on amazon.

This is supposed to be a direct replacement for my model dryer. However it doesn't seem to fit quite right. It will work for now.
