Doesn't stay on
The adhesion is terrible. Fell off after kid bumped and grabbed it once. Won't stay on.

Simple, but included adhesive strips only stick to certain things
I bought these edge guards to stick to our sharp fireplace brick facade after seeing them installed at a friend's house. The pads are nice, thick foam, and they feel soft and don't look too bad (imo). The included 3M double-sided tape works great if you're sticking these pads to a hard, non-porous surface like glass, wood, or tile. But if, like me, you try sticking the tape to brick, the tape doesn't hold up too well.I've been able to mount the edge guards using the following method: 1. Screw masonry screws through a piece of velcro into some grout, every 6" or so. 2. Stick a piece of velcro along the edge guard's inside. 3. Stick the edge guards to the screwed-in velcro strips.I'm using a small masonry screw, and the holes that remain are pretty small, so I can patch them up when my children are old enough to not bang their heads on the fireplace corners. But to do this, you need some extra screws, some industrial-strength velcro, and a hammer drill.Ease of installation gets 2/5 stars, but in every other regard, these edge guards are pretty good.

Perfect for glass tables!
It looks really nice and blends great with my living room, and it was definitely necessary with my little ones who prefer to run rather than walk safely. My little ones still trip quite a lot so this was a lifesaver to us, since we have the table in the living room and right before that there are two little steps which are a big obstacle after all for the little ones. It was easy to install, took a minute or two but totally worth it. Love this product, so handy and classy. So far, so good
Our son is crawling like a champ, so we figured it was time to protect him from the edge of the hearth. We got the Prince Lionheart Fireplace Guard and were able to install it that night. We cut 3 of the straight pieces to size with and exacto knife, lined it up and stuck it in. While its basically molded foam stuck on with double-sided tape, it's done the job for us. The color blends with the painted brick and it hasn't budged a smidge - even though the little one its obsessed with the fireplace and has rugged on all of the pieces. The only complaint is that one of the corner pieces was "smashed" upon arrival, so there is a bit of a dent in our guard. Works fine, just doesn't look as nice as it could be. Overall, easy to install, blends with the room and protects our kid from bonking his head on the bricks. Definitely recommend if you want a quick and easy way to reduce this risk.

Good edge protectors for fireplace
I am currently using these on my brick fireplace. My fireplace is a little longer than the standard size so I also bought a pack that had a few extra pieces. If you have a standard size fireplace, this should be enough. There are 2 corners included. I bought these because they are wider and thicker than most of the edge protectors that are out there. They do provide a good amount of protection but as most reviewers have stated, they do peel off if your baby tries hard enough. My baby girl sometimes pulls at them and I just press down on them to stick them back. If your baby is pretty aggressive at trying to get these off, they will be able to. But luckily my baby doesn't really try to peel them off so it's not a big deal.

Perfect if they would just stick!
I needed these to protect my head on wall cabinet corners. They do an excellent job of softening the blow when I bump into them, but unfortunately they have a hard time sticking. The double-sticky tape supplied with them sticks OK to the rubber, but not to the clean semi-gloss acrylic paint on my cabinets. The problem seems to be that these corner guards are not molded accurately to fit a 90 degree corner, but instead are formed by cutting and gluing the shape from a stiff foam rubber extrusion. As a result, they are somewhat distorted and misshapen, as can be seen in the product photos. That means the double sticky tape has to pull them down into shape when installed, and there is constant strain on the tape as they try to peel themselves away from the surface -- even when nothing bumps them. After a few days, in my experience, they pull away and are left partially adhered, ready to be knocked off by even a small impact. I'm now trying a more aggressive 3M mounting tape to see if that solves the problem.

Saved our Grandson's head already!
When our grandson started pulling up and standing, I knew it would be just a matter of time before he would find the hearth made of brick and waist high. So I looked at my favorite shopping place and found these guards. I read the reviews and decided to give them a try. They were really easy to install using the 3M tape that was included. We have had them on the hearth now for 3 weeks and they have stuck solid so far. Reid has even used them to pull up and they have stuck. He fell the other day and landed right on the corner, I held my breath, nothing happened he didn't even cry just went on. So I thank the makers of these guards for saving an hospital visit. The don't stink like some people said. They match the color of my brick so unless you look and stare you hardly notice they are there. I am not the type to worry about how they look with the rest of my living room, I just wanted PROTECTION and they have done that already. Thanks.

Nice Large Cushions
We bought a set of these to keep at the grandparents house since my daughter kept hitting her head on the corners of their kitchen island. Wish they were a little tighter of a fit, which is why it gets four instead of five stars, but it is by far the best product I've found for kitchen counters. Since grandma and grandpa don't need these corners on their counter all the time, just when we visit, we bought sticky-backed velcro to attach it to the underside of the counters. I guess technically, we use these corners upside down, since we wanted the most protection on the bottom edge of the counter, rather than the top. Either way, they work pretty well and make me a lot less nervous when little ones are racing around the house at family get togethers

Not pretty, but effective.
It lets you cut the foam bars to the length needed, and stick them down, which is nice, but it is really seriously not beautiful - you can see every break where the bits connect (those designed in at the corners, and those you make to customize it). That said, it does the job in terms of protecting small heads from hitting sharp corners. And that's the more important thing, right.EDIT TO ADD: A few months later, and there is a bit of an issue with them getting knocked off. Particularly on the corner of our fireplace which is a higher traffic area, the sticky has lost all adhesion on the corner unit. Really need to dig out the tape and add a new layer, and hope that lasts better, but haven't got suitably motivated yet.

Also a solution to ceiling beams.......
Now not having young children bumping into tables etc. I still had a problem with my family hitting their heads on low level rafters within an attic playroom. So looked at industrial corner protectors and when I saw the cost of £ 29.00 + VAT for a metre's length I needed a cheaper option. Whilst these are not cheap they are quite chunky and do the job I wanted them to do and I myself have hit my head a couple of times without any major problems. So I guess that means they do the job in hand. The colour is a sort of cream colour and do stand out on white rafters but safety is paramount and hopefully they can be removed without any damage in the future. Easy to put up and to be honest even with great car the joining of them end to end is not very easy and the end results are whilst safe is not as aesthetic as I would have wished for. Perhaps a continuos coil of them would have been better in my veiw.Anyway if you are looking to protect any edge from a safety point of view these may be the solution to your needs.

Good quality product
I used it for the hearth to protect the baby from hitting her head. I could cut it easily to fit the size of it. The only downfall was that the stickers are not enough so i had to cut them into pieces and put them on. They are not enough for the entire length of the pieces of cushions you receive. It looks nice though

Great product, especially if installed using a little common sense.
Great product. I have used these on my fireplace and it is now baby-proofed. I cut them down slightly to fit the shallow depth of my fire hearth and it looks like it was part of the original design. Some of the other reviews I have read state that it comes unstuck. This is true to an extent, but if they used a stronger adhesive, there would be far more complaints that it was damaging the surfaces it was stuck to on removal (they can't please everybody). I can only suggest using an alternative adhesive yourself to suit the surface you are sticking to, if the one supplied is a problem. Also, reed the instructions before hand to avoid any issues.

An excellent product, but for the price I'd expect nothing less.
I can't really add too much to the "manufacturer's description" which I consider to be fair and accurate. The guards really are very chunky and without a ruler to hand I'd guess they are about 1cm thick. However you can still cut them easily with a decent pair of scissors so they are easy to fit and should you so wish you could easily make your own corner guards. My son hasn't had the misfortune to really test them yet but they look and feel like they'll do the job they were designed for exceptionally well.Drawbacks? Well we aren't talking unobtrusive here. However the guards are quite neatly shaped so I don't find them unattractive in their way.So yes this is an excellent product, but at seventeen quid for four eighteen inch lengths I'd expect nothing less. The price does seem rather excessive.
