Great miter saw for the price
Reasonable quality tool. Very happy with it. Completed many projects, still on the 1st blade it came with. It isn't a sliding double tilt compound saw, but for most things you don't need that. Handles 2x6 just fine, even two 2x stacked.

Better late than never.
When I was about ~42 years of ago or around 10 years ago a neighbor voluntarily lent me his upper end Dewalt compound sliding Miter Saw for a project I was working on at home, I had never used a Miter Saw before. It was a fantastic experience using it. I was careful with it and it did not take a lot of effort to learn how it use it properly. I really liked it but that one was like ~$799, so no miter saw for me. Then recently I have been shopping around for something more affordable and I ended up buying one of these for $99. When it arrived I took my time and read everything and got myself somewhat familiar with my new tool. Wow, is this thing nice and the build quality is right up there with that Dewalt I borrowed from my neighbor. This is my first miter saw and I am 51 years of age so that is where the title comes from. thanks(update: 8-3-2022 , I finally got to use my HPT for the first time, I wanted to build a gate in the entryway to my house so the dog can step out onto the porch whenever he needs to check out a noise or what have you. WOW, I had a ton of cuts to make for the gate and it was an awesome experience. Oh and it was a clean experience as well since I was able to stretch a cord out to the sidewalk and so all the cuts were made there. When I was finished I put everything where it belongs and took a blower out to the sidewalk to blow off the sawdust. This is no where near "This is nowhere near 'This Old House' quality but it will do the job.
