My specific use case is a transceiver/repeater that has a SO239 on the top, and this screws right in and actually looks like it was made for it. It's a wide band LoRA spread spectrum xcvr from Retevis and needs to cover the entire 70cm ham band, which it does. The metal case completes the antenna system. This may be an important factor for some other use cases. But for me, it's a perfect fit in every way.

Poor quality ham antenna, but really shines on my digital scanners. I've purchased 5 & one shorter model. Not rated for 800 MHz, but picks up every system in my area & NC, on back of the units. Ordered 2 for a friend who will also be ordering more for his HT scanners.

Ordered the first one, put it on the analyzer and read no resonance. Decided to have it replaced. Replacement came in, and the analyzer showed the same. Connected the antenna to swr meter, 19.99 on 146.535 MHz. Refund started. My advice: don’t waste your time like I did.

Could not get SWR below 2.0. Replaced with a comet and have very low SWR with the comet

Got this antenna for my SxS vehicle for use with a handheld. Mounted it on a spring mount and got greater reception than the rubber ducky. SWR 1.02

This antenna worked OK until it rained. I assume water got in the sliding portion. Now it works very poorly. Might be damaging my radio with severe mismatch. Don't recommend for mobile use.

Just make sure you have the right attachment that can connector this antenna to your radio.
