Q2U USB/XLR Microphone Shock Mount Holder for Reduces Vibration and Noise, Suitable for Samson Q2U USB/XLR Dynamic Mic

I produce a lot of video content for my business and to send to my patients as post OP instructions, etc. I have always hired someone to record them for me, or used a webcam. The audio was not so great when using the webcam. I am not technologically gifted. I bought this after watching a podcast where it was recommended. When I received it, I youtubed how to switch audio from the webcam to the mic. I followed the instructions very carefully but the mic still wasn't working. I eventually figured out I hadn't turned it ON. 🤦‍♀️ A friend of mine has had two of his own TV shows and owns his own music recording studio. I sent him a couple videos for him to critique the sound. He said it is definitely studio quality and I should be proud of my little productions. This mic sounds incredible and is so easy to use- even a dentist can do it! 😁

This shock mount is exactly what I have been looking for. My Samsung mic fits perfectly and firmly. The adjustments are spot on and hold their position. The shock mount seems very sturdy and made from quality materials. This is a great shock mount and has been working perfectly for me!

Overall a great product. Fit my Samson q2u perfectly. My one complaint is is the nut that controls the tilt doesn’t stay in place for micro adjustments.

Ordered two, one came broken and one came totally fine. I just returned the broken one to amazon and ordered a new one which came totallh fine. They work well on the Q2U. The Q2U is a pretty sensitive microphone (not made to be handheld, loud with movement/bumps) so i wasnt expecting a miracle or anything but these helped a lot! For the price i would definitely buy them again, just be gentle with them because they dont seem crazy sturdy.

Using this mic for an upcoming podcast. Solid, sturdy, well-made microphone. I have already tested it on our platform, and it sounds amazing through my mixer.

I love the sound of the Samson Q2U, But...the sound of me typing on a mechanical keyboard transfers through my desk, to a desktop mounted arm and sounds like a steel drum band. This mount is sturdy, made from metal, and with some adjustments, does what it's supposed to. Now, hooking the new mount up was easy and with in an initial test, there was an improvement, but, it wasn't as isolated as it should have been. Taking a look at the elastic bands, there was an issue with assembly. The metal clips used to connect the bands into a loop were placed in a location that they were transmitting the sound from the arm to the Mic. With a quick adjustment of the elastic band, moving the metal connector away from a location where it could transfer audio between the two metal structures made this Microphone mount shine.

I bought this mike in prep for starting a podcast. Everyone who knows me and heard me using the mike said the sound quality was so much better. It compares favorably with more expensive mikes according to the podcast guru who recommended it. I now highly trust his recommendations.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: As far as I can tell, this is the same that came with my Mic and boom kit. I broke the first one after about a year of adjusting it. The thumb screw snapped off inside it. So bought this one to replace it. It may or may not be the same exact brand. But they seem identical. Take my review with that grain of salt. Otherwise it performs as expected. Not great, not terrible. 3.6 stars

Good Product

The mount comes with all the connectors and fits my samson Q2U but it really isn't well thought out. The mic has a "on/off" switch that you have to line up perfectly for this mount to work and is still awkward to use.
