Excellent add-on UV sterilization for whole house water filtration!
I bought the iSpring UV sterilizer to add to my iSpring whole house water filtration system, a WGB32BM 3-stage system. The installation of the UV sterilizer is pretty straightforward. I used 1" Pex-B with clamp style fittings, to match the 1" of the filter system. The system is exactly what I was looking for and performs as expected. As shipped by amazon via FedEx, the UV bulb arrived shattered, and the damaged package was also missing the o-rings, but the rest of the system was ok, and I did not want to return the whole system. Luckily, amazon was able to issue a partial refund for just the value of a replacement UV bulb. I ordered a replacement bulb and it arrived within a few days, this time undamaged. I also emailed Nick at iSpring customer service about the missing o-rings, and he immediately responded by email and shipped out a replacement set of o-rings which arrived very quickly via USPS. I call that very prompt and excellent customer service! A few more notes on the system: it has a smart controller with the bulb ballast integrated. This controller connects to the UV bulb, to the AC power, and also to the flow switch to turn the UV bulb on as soon as water flows. This is indicated by a green LED. When flow stops, the controller keeps the UV bulb on for another 5 min (300 sec) to avoid excessive bulb power-ons, which would reduce bulb life. After 300 sec, the bulb is turned off and this is actually shown via a 3-digit LED count-down on the controller, a nice feature! If within 300 sec the water flow is turned back on, the counter is reset to 300 sec. Overall, I really like this flow-through water sterilization system. It has a very high build quality, and is easy to install, and works in a fully automated, worry-free way. I would highly recommend this as an add-on to any home/whole house water filtration system.

Easy install, great support!
Super easy to install, but a little finicky with the threads (at least for mine). My first attempt at hand tightening the sensor switch had a small leaked, so I slowly tightened it further to get it to stop. Unfortunately, it appeared I ended up damaging the washer by over-tightening it, as I couldn't get the leak to stop. Sean at customer support was awesome. Sent me a replacement sensor and washer, which resolved the issue. On the other threaded connection, I used sharkbite fittings for my installation and found the brass (sharkbite) to stainless (iSprings) connection was a bit finicky. Had very slow leak using only pipe tape. Removed and cleaned everything and re-applied the teflon tape and added a layer of plumbers dope and it sealed up nicely. Highly recommend, especially if on a well system (as we are).

Great product, great company with great people
Over a year into owning this- We have be very impressed with our iSpring whole house UV filter/sanitizer. It was easy to install and set up and swapping bulbs when itโs due is very easy too. And it works! It has taken care of the issues we had with our well water and been very reliable. The customer service and support is fantastic as well. Jonathan has helped us get and keep the system going. Heโs great! You get a real person, here in the USA, with personality and good communication when you call. Highly recommend this product and company.

Great UV Sterilizer!
I bought the UVF55FS for my rainwater system and it's working great! At first, I thought I'd wasted my money because, after completely flushing my entire system, a coliform bacteria test came out positive. It did it again after a second complete flush. I finally realized that bacteria are pretty sticky and some will inevitably remain stuck to the sides of the pipes, even after multiple attempts to wash them out. So I decided to fill the whole system with a strong concentration of chlorine bleach and I let it stand for 3 hours. Then I flushed the entire system out again until all traces of chlorine odor were gone. I continued using the system for washing but not drinking for a few days then retested for bacteria. This time, the test showed ZERO bacteria. I even let the test incubate for a couple extra days to be sure. One thing I'd recommend is NOT waste your money on the version that I did with the flow sensor. I think the flow sensor is a bad idea now that I've had some experience and more time to think about it. For one thing, the flow sensor will not turn the UV lamp on until flow rate rises to 0.66 GPM. So if you use this mode and you run some water at anything less that this rate, the bacteria-contaminated water entering the UV unit can pass right through without being sterilized. Another problem is that even when the lamp turns on, it will take it a while to come up to full intensity, allowing more unsterilized water to pass through. Yet another problem is that the lamp may not last as long if it's continuously cycled on and off. Therefore, I'm leaving mine on 100% of the time and expect to replace it in 1 year. A few corrections for the manual: On page 4, it incorrectly states the maximum water pressure allowed is 43 PSI. Page 3 apparently has the correct spec which is 85 PSI. It's also stated on page 12: 4 PSI min / 85 PSI max. On page 4, it says to make sure the inlet is at the bottom if you mount the unit vertically because they incorrectly say it will slow down water flow. It won't slow the flow regardless of putting the inlet at the top or bottom. The only way their statement could be true is if the bottom port was left open so water could fall out with no back-pressure. When installed in your home's water system, the difference between pressure-tank pressure and the back-pressure is what determines flow rate, not the orientation of the UV unit. Orientation doesn't effect this at all. On page 8, it says "Mode AUTO is highly recommended to protect the UV lamp.". Not true and definitely NOT recommended. On page 9, it says the "system is designed for continuous operation, and frequent switching will reduce ultraviolet radiation and service life." which directly contradicts the statement on page 8. I believe this statement on page 9 is correct and you should ignore the AUTO mode recommendation. Don't even purchase the version with the flow sensor so you won't have an AUTO mode in the first place! Note that if your home experiences a power outage, unless you use some kind of uninterruptable power supply, your UV sterilizer will be off and any bacteria and viruses can then pass into your potable water system when you turn on a faucet. Mine is on solar with battery storage so is much less of a problem but I still may add a UPS for the UV unit. Lastly, I DO highly recommend this unit after seeing the bacteria test results.

Great UV Light Filter but without really good Customer Support, would have been returned.
This UV Filter is working very well, now, but I had some challenges to get it installed with leaks. Customer Service (Michele) was fantastic in resolving my leaking problem. After installation, this UV Filter as the last component of a simple water system is working great! Even though I added this UV light after two whole house filters, I did not notice any pressure loss. My water is noticeably clearer and no more bad smells or tastes. So overall, great product and top notch Customer Support (from Michele) My first comment is the directions are very vague and the installation video is pretty good but needs to be more detailed. My leak occurred at the outlet when I installed the flow detector that has a rubber washer gasket . I believe my washer had a defect and seems to have a flat side. When I turned the water on this leak sprayed water everywhere. My ballast and light bulb were soaked and even with tightening , and resetting the gasket, I was unable to stop the leak. I called customer support and Michelle immediately addressed this problem. After receiving my Amazon receipt, she sent out a complete new flow sensor, light bulb, ballast, and new gasket. It arrived 3 days later via Fed Ex. I put the replacement parts in and presto, no leaks and my UV filter works perfectly! Do not over tighten the flow sensor. I found it was tight enough when the arrow aligned with the outlet. The new ballast is different from the directions. It senses flow and then lights up for 300 seconds and you will see the countdown on the LED display. I can see the light shining in my Pex Pipe which is recommended by most companies to be 6-12 inches away from the light( mine is 10โ away) I sincerely was ready to return this filter with the leaks and several concerns with equipment short comings like O Rings on the quartz sleeve that are the only thing preventing leaks and the annoying power cords that are just barely long enough to install your bulb. Had Customer Service (Michele) not immediately made things right, I would move on but now Iโm impressed with this system and would recommend this product. Hang in there and donโt hesitate to call Customer Support.

Great UV System & Great Service
The system was easy to install and gives us the confidence of having clean water for our home. We did have bacteria in our water when we purchased our home, but we treated the well and installed this to be sure that we are not affected by any potential contamination. We recently had our water tested without the filter on and we still had no bacteria, so while the filter is not required, it does give us confidence in our water. After just a few months, the UV light burned out. We had the flow switch set on Auto so that it would turn the light on/off when the water was being used so it was not on full time. However, for the 9000 hour bulb to burn out after only a few months tells me that it may not be the best setting. Maybe it was a faulty bulb, but I am going to try to leave it on full time to see if it will last longer. When the bulb burned out, my immediate response was to buy a new one online, or at a local box store. I did the box store with a ship to home option as it was not in stock locally. The bulb came almost a week later, broken. Then I ordered two and waited another 5 days and received one broken and one good. At this point I decided to reach out to iSpring support and I was shocked to get a live person on the line, name John, who did not forward me to anyone else or ask me to fill out some lengthy registration form. Instead, he said he would take care of it and to email him a copy of my proof of purchase. Not three days later I had two new bulbs sitting on my front porch. I should have reached out to support first! Thank you iSpring for your great customer service and for standing behind your products.

Easy to install
Did the install today and things went smooth. The system came with a three year warranty and registration was super easy. The system came with a QR code which linked with the page for the warranty. Within a minute I received a email from โRobertโ. One email back and he registered this product for me. Customer service is awesome. The cost of new bulbs seems good. I'll get my water tested in a week and make sure it does what it is supposed to

Customer Support Makes this a 5-star product, design makes it a 3-star product.
Update 11/23/23: after another round of failed tubes and replacement bulbs, Customer Service suggested I change the "Smart Flow Switch" to continuous power (i.e. making it a dumb switch). They said that the constant on/off of the bulb caused the bulb to fail very quickly. The good news is it has been 8 months and the bulb is still working fine (after changing the switch so the light is on 24/7). The bad news is I purchased this item over less expensive brands because this had the smart flow switch. With the light powered on constantly, more electricity is consumed and the water gets hot if not run for a few hours. So, if this had been sold as a "dumb switch" driven UV Filter at a similar price point to other brands, it would still have my 5 stars, but for what it was sold as versus what I have, it is only a 3 star item. ------------ I purchased a number of iSpring products to set up a dream filtration system. I'm recently retired and have been wanting to add a water softener and filtration to my house, which gets water from a well here in North Central Florida. Needless to say, it is extremely hard water. Back to the UV filter. This was initially a "nice-to-have" purchase that became a necessity the more I thought about it. Installation was simple (with one caveat). As with all iSpring products, they have videos that cover the product installation better than the manuals. My advice is to read the manual a few times, then watch the video a few times and possible do both again during installation. I wanted to have an easily modified system, so I used Sharkbite connectors in many places. This resulted in a few leaks that I had to deal with. But for this UV Filter, I experienced a leak between the UV housing (at the output) and the Flow Sensor. I tried without teflon tape, then with some, then with a lot, but could not stop a small leak. I contacted iSpring Customer service and worked with Mayra. She was very helpful and the leak was resolved with Mayra's help. First, she suggested I use Blue Monster Teflon Tape and use about 3 or 4 wraps. She also sent me a new Flow Sensor. When I received and installed the new flow sensor with the Blue Monster tape, I noticed that I had shredded the original gasket that goes between the UV Filter and the Flow Sensor. Using the new Flow Sensor, with the new gasket and the Blue Monster tape resolved the leak. So, a big shout-out to Mayra for the help! My second interaction with customer support was due to the UV Filter flashing with an error alert at about 5 to 6 weeks after installation. I contacted Customer Support again and Sean responded quickly. Within a couple days, I had a new ballast, another new Flow Sensor, and a new bulb. Unfortunately, the box was delivered with a bend that resulted in the bulb being shattered. It was packaged well, but just couldn't hold up to the abuse of shipping. Sean was quick to send another ballast (in case it was also damaged), along with two new bulbs (all were in great shape). Again, I received them quickly. Installing the new ballast and a new bulb resolved the issue and all is working as it should. Upon closer inspection of the original bulb showed that one of the cathode filaments was bouncing around in the bulb, so it probably broke or burned out, causing the error. So a huge shout-out to Sean for the quick responses, the quick shipments, and for touching base with me along the way to make sure I received the items. I have reviews to complete for the other iSpring products I purchased, some without any issue, and a couple with minor issues that iSpring Customer Support jumped right in to correct or to answer my questions.

Unexpectedly great customer service!
Seems like a good quality product and all parts came securely packaged. When installing I accidentally damaged (donโt askโฆ) the flow sensor which was one of the features that attracted me to the iSprings package. After an unsuccessful attempt to source a quick replacement with the same specs, I emailed iSprings support expecting the worst. To my surprise, Robert got back to me the same afternoon and even though I explained it was my fault and I would be happy to pay for a replacement part that didnโt include other bits I didnโt need, he happily had a new part on the way. Wow. In this world of instant shopping and millions of options it is nice to see that some companies still appreciate great quality, customer service and good will. Well done!

Works great. Helpful support from the seller
This uv filter is solid built. It came well packaged but some parts ( O-rings) were missing. Kudos to their customer service representative Michele who quickly resolved this. Once the o-rings arrived, I installed the filter connecting it to the main line from the pressure tank so clean water supplied to the whole house. Be carefull when assembling the filter - the glass tube and uv lamp are very long and fragile. Instructions are easy to follow. Installed it vertically resting on the floor - this filter is very heavy and I didn't trust the plastic fasteners. Had to reduce the water pressure in my tank because the quartz glass tube seems can't handle more than 43 psi. Turned the uv lamp to auto mode. Will see how long it is going to last. Water test results came clear, so this stuff works. P.S. be generous with teflon tape for plumbing and have a 2 or 3 large towels ready in case you have leaks after the test and need to correct or retighten the connections.

Functionality and Support.
Purchased this light in April 2023 and had set it up without issue. Red light started flashing late 2024 indicating the bulb was burnt out which was confirmed. Was unable to locate an ISpring bulb on Amazon and contacted ISpring directly. E-mailed with Sean. He was unable to provide a source of replacement bulbs in Canada, but shipped me a replacement bulb at no cost. It arrived within days. Great support. Hopefully I'll find a bulb source next time it burns out.

Works and looks great
We added the iSpring UVF55FS Whole House UV Water Filter to our whole home Ispring filtration system. Initially we may have experienced a flow switch problem as an error light would blink and sound when the unit sat idle. We contacted the company and immediately received assistance from Julius who worked with us daily as we tried to identify the issue. He then shipped us out some new components and once installed have had no issues and the unit works perfectly. Customer service was amazing!

Looking for something more reliable.
Constant battle with this thing. Keeps giving me errors. The customer support is great, but they have replaced the bulb, and the balast but it still ends up giving errors. And these bulbs are not cheap. Shipping them is a treat as well. If you sneeze near them they break.
