Wells TPS347 Throttle Position Sensor

The part seemed to be constructed well. Fit just like a glove within the housing. The part I disliked was the instructions on calibrating to the truck. It works as should; however the instructions included did not work. I called tech support and the technician told me that several others had run into the same problem. I had to come up with a way to calibrate to my particular truck. Their resolution was to rewrite the instructions to include my directions..

This Wells TPS was four hundred dollars less then the OEM part at the dealership. I only gave it four stars as it has not been in the truck long enough to establish it's reliability and longevity. It came with a 3yr warranty and after talking with an automotive instructor at a local community college, who said they were quality parts, I gave it a try. Install only cost me $69.00 from a local ASE cert repair shop. Dealership wanted $800. + for part and install. Not happening. This part is an easy install if you watch youtube procedure and are handy with tools.

I self installed this sensor and I think it was what I needed. Be sure you have all the necessary tool and meters before you start.

Already getting error code again randomly. At this price I really hope it hasn't been too long to return for new one (about a year) But if I return it I can't drive my truck and can't work so Wtf. This is supposed to be an upgraded design from factory but guess not. CA smogs my 99 dodge diesel and I'll fail with check engine light on. It was really easy to replace is the only positive thing I can say.

Installed on 2000 Dodge Diesel w/ 400,000+ miles, the truck thinks it's new !! Power up and down is smooth and consistent, transmission shifts are smooth and stable (no hunting) For my truck --- Magic, & cleared the following trouble codes -- PO122, PO216, P1693. Usually starts within 3 compression strokes.

Installed per instructions... Did not work.

The first one went bad. They replaced it. So far so good.

Just plugged it into my dodge 3500 OMG. Previous owner kept buying cheap other brands. Looked into it, Wells did their home work!
