Takes getting used to, but this light is very bright. I use red light to work on an arable farm. It’s perfect

Good value for the DIY user
Got to be honest I only brought this as a bit of a gimmick item but a couple years on and it's still going strong so I think it's good value for the DIY user

Its a great beam, no doubt about that
But if using this for Stargazing i fear it could be too bright, maybe need to cover the lense with something to dim it down.

Perfect for me
I wanted a head mounted light for astrophotography that didn't have a white light mode. This was the perfect option. It feels well built, fits nicely and will work well if I am working in the cold and wearing a beanie. It comes with two 18650 batteries that recharge in the head set. It makes the rig feel a little weighty but not so much that it bothers me. The bright and dimmer modes are ideal for my purposes.

failed after a few days.
stopped working after a few days - the light wouldnt switch off. I've had one these before and it lasted years. Quality has gone down. luckily, was within the returns period.

Dont loose your night vision.
Great piece of kit for night photography, only dislike is the flashing mode.

Poor plastic moulding design means it’s both uncomfortable and breaks easily
In terms of functional the brightness of the torch is excellent as is the focus range and ease of use. I found the battery lasted well and charged quickly.Unfortunately though the plastic mounting points for both the LED torch unit and the battery pack are inadequate. The battery pack in mounts too easily by accident and the mounting for the torch unit is uncomfortable as it has no padding and digs into your forehead. Worst of all it’s too thin and badly designed. As a result mine broke on first use, snapping where the strap loops through (see pic).If this wasn’t the case it would be great value for money and infact I would be willing to pay more for one that lasts longer than single use. Such a waste.
