Dr. BRONNERS has been called one of the top 2-3 best TRUE SOAPS in America. I have tried many(what I thought were soaps) only to get out of the shower and still not feeling clean. I have used every soap from Dove to Zest, only to be disappointed in most of them. And IVORY! Who knew? Is not a true soap. So? I did my research as an RN and Dr. BRONNERS is the winner. I bought the citrus. The smell is amazing. I come out of my shower feeling squeaky clean. If you are using a “soap”, but it does not actually say soap somewhere, it’s not soap. This soap is very effective in cleaning my skin, is very fresh to smell in the shower, feels very natural (because it is not made with and nasty chemicals), and it is such a nice experience to have. I shower daily, sometimes 2-3 times per day in the Summer. Maybe, I won’t have to try so hard now that I have discovered Dr. Bronner’s SOAP, not a bar full of chemicals.

I love the citrus pure castile liquid soap. It smells like I am in an orange grove when I use it. It is my last step when cleaning my glass top stove, my microwave, sinks, and counter tops. The only other fragrance that I used was peppermint. I like the citrus much better. They both cleaned the same great way.

I finally caved after years of hearing about this stuff and bought the gallon refill. Rather than dip a toe in, I decanted it into amber bottles and swapped out five different products in my house at once: dish soap, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and laundry detergent. Here's what happened. First, the thing nobody tells you clearly enough: this is a concentrate. If you use it straight from the jug you will hate it, waste it, and wonder what the fuss is about. Every use case below is a dilution. The ratios I landed on after some trial and error (soap:water): - Dish soap (1:2). Strongest dilution I use. Cuts grease well, though it produces noticeably less lather than a conventional dish liquid. That's cosmetic, not functional, but it takes a week to stop feeling like something's wrong. - Body wash (1:3). Clear winner. Rinses completely clean with no film, and I don't get that squeaky-tight feeling. Worth noting I don't have dry or sensitive skin. If you do, your mileage may differ. - Hand soap (1:4). Also a winner. Sits by the kitchen sink all day, gets used constantly, no complaints. - Shampoo (1:5). This is where it loses. My hair came out dry and slightly waxy, which I'd read about beforehand and can now confirm firsthand. It's a real chemistry problem: true soap reacts with minerals in hard water and leaves residue, which is why so many people report the wax. An acidic rinse afterward (diluted apple cider vinegar) does help, but I'm not adding a step to my shower for a product that's supposed to simplify things. Not continuing this one. - Laundry (~⅓ cup for a large load). Fine for lightly worn adult clothes. It does not keep up with what my 2- and 4-year-old generate. Ground-in food, mud, and the mystery stains of toddlerhood came out visibly better with a conventional detergent. If your laundry is mostly refreshing lightly-worn clothes, this works. If you're fighting actual dirt, it won't replace your detergent. On the scent: the citrus is genuinely the best part. It smells like actual citrus oil, bright and a little bitter, not the candy-sweet synthetic "orange" of most cleaners. It's also lighter than expected and fades quickly, which I consider a feature. Honestly, it's true that it can do 18 things. That is not the same as being the best option for 18 things. It's excellent for skin, good for dishes, adequate for light laundry, and poor for hair. Buying a gallon expecting to empty your entire cabinet will lead to disappointment; buying it to replace 3 or 4 products is a great decision. Two practical warnings: don't mix it directly with vinegar or lemon juice in the same bottle . . . it curdles into an unusable mess (rinsing after is fine). And skip it on natural stone countertops. I'm buying the gallon again. Just not for my hair.

Apon first use I am thoroughly impressed. Note the very short list of ingredients, all natural! The project seemed liquidy, so I thought it wasn't as concentrated as they advertised. I put a small amount on my shower cloth and rubbed it in, the lather was perfect. The smell is absolutely delicious, like orange hard-candy. Lest my skin feeling smooth and clean, but not dry. I also love what this company stand for and am looking forward to trying their other vegan products.

Absolutely love it. Especially the strong citrus scent. You only need to use a little because a little goes a long way with this product. This is my second bottle and I will keep purchasing it. And for a 32oz bottle the price is good.

As awesome as ever. When I wash with this it leaves no residue on my skin. Only realised recently when visiting my brother and didn't have any with me so I used his body wash. Had to stand in the shower and rinse myself forever and a day to get the stuff off. Been so long since I used regular shower wash that I forgot how sticky it is. Been using this stuff for about 10 years and love it. Also good for handwash, cleaning floor and wiping counters.
