Amazing
Been using this for over a year (and the salt stick for 5 years) I will always recommend this brand to everyone they have the best deodorants ever. These jars are amazing! I used to sweat so bad and stink but when I use these I not had a single day were I have sweated/stink. A jar can last me two months with heavy frequent use the product never goes hard or out of date it stays soft (unlike wild) and easy to use. All you do is swipe a small amount onto each pit (even on freshly shaved pits it will not burn) keeps pits clean and dry all day. The jars are super handy to keep in bag as they are small and not bulky. Overall they are amazing just wish I could see them in more shops like supermarkets as I have only seen salt of the earth in Holland and Barrett/AmazonProducts is amazingEco reusable jarLasts 2 months with frequent useGood priceEco and chemical freeVegan / cruelty freeScents - all smell the same

Best deodorant I've ever used
I have sensitive skin and this stuff is fantastic for me, it stops body odour without blocking pores and doesn't irritate my skin. I have used the unscented and melon scented. They are like a soothing balm. You don't need to use much, about a pea sized amount gently rubbed into each armpit does the trick so it lasts ages. I also like that the packaging it recyclable or can be reused. I'll definitely keep using this product. My husband has also been converted and has started using Salt of the Earth deodorant.

The jury is still out with respect to this product
I have never come across a product quite like this 60 g pot of deodorant balm. It boasts eco-friendly manufacturing including being free from animal cruelty and plastics and is 100% vegan. It has a delectable yet cooling melon and cucumber fragrance straight out of the jar. Further, it is soft and easy to apply to the underarm. It does not prevent sweat but is used to soothe the underarm and disguise natural body odour. It also does not dry out the skin but rather moisturises it.Whilst I appreciate the naturalness of this product, I also do prefer a stick to apply deodorant rather than using my fingers. The real test was to see if this works. After a steam-filled bath, I applied this product to the underarm area. It soaks into the skin and does not leave a greasy residue. However, whilst this product may prevent chafing, this did not quite prevent natural body odour from becoming a problem overnight. Indeed, the combination of sweat and this product’s fragrance did not produce the heady mixture I was expecting. The aroma after sweat is introduced is not nearly as delicious: this is most disappointing. In conclusion, whilst this is ‘salt of the earth’, its scent combined with sweat falls way short of being heavenly. I am still making up my mind if I like this product as it has many advantages over more conventional and standard products. However, it is also expensive at £8.99.

Good, but takes getting used to.
I like to bring up price in my reviews and I'm still on the fence about the £9 asking price. It seems quite pricey for some deodorant balm, but then again, you only need a smidge on your finger to rub in your armpits. As for the product itself, there was no fanfare really. The lid was off on mine when I received it, but it didn't look tampered with in any way and could have come off during shipping, so, bit of a moot point. It's very strange going from either a spray-can deodorant or a roll-on to this, as it's more like a facial scrub you'd find in Lush, rather than something you'd think about putting on your armpits.I sort-of just haphazardly squashed my finger into the outer rim of the balm, then swirled it around, until I had coated the tip of my finger in a thin layer of it, then rubbed it into my armpits.I have no idea if I'm using the right amount, or if there even is a right amount to use for something like this.It smells very heavily of melon, with a hint of cucumber, although I would imagine the cucumber is more for the moisturising or freshness feel of it.The balm itself will not stop you sweating, but as someone that can suffer from bad B.O., it does do a pretty good job of masking the smell and making you smell of melon. However, unlike some really strong spray deodorants, you will go "nose-blind" to the scent of this balm fairly quickly, or it just dissipates fast, due to the more moisturising nature of it.Overall, this is not going to be for everyone and is a bit more of a faf to put on in the morning; I am personally liking it, but not sure I would go out of my way to buy any more once I run out.

It works
Lovely scent, goes on easily and it works as a deodorant.

Works even with hot flushes!
I was sceptical as to whether the balm would be as good as the spray but I'm trying to go plastic free so gave it a go. The smell isn't as nice as the spray but it's ok. I was most worried incase a balm might let me down after a day of hot flushes but it worked great, no pongy pits.
