Much Better Ear Plugs Than Foam or Jellies
Ever since we discovered mice in the house I have started to hear more noises at night. They probably have been there all along but now at night time I hear all the creaks & groans of an old house and I also imagine the pitter patter of feet (mice?) in the walls & ceiling. LOL. It got to the point where I couldn't fall asleep with all the noise inside my head. My sister suggested ear plugs. As a matter of fact she swore by them as getting a peaceful night's sleep. I couldn't imagine sleeping with them on but decided to give it a shot. I first tried the ear foams that come in that flourescent orange color (I think they are called ear buddies) and even though they are squishy and you can roll em thin so they fit your ear & then expand, these ended up hurting my ears. I have tiny ears and my ear canal is smaller than most so the ear foams made me wake up with sore ears. Next I tried ear jellies. I was not able to order them thru Amazon since they were only available in medium so I ordered them from another website. While they were more expensive than the foams, they were more comfortable. However these are hard to put in the ear because as soon as you roll em but before you can put them in your ear they quickly expand back to their original shape which is round like a small ball. I finally decided to order these wax ear plugs. When I am playing with this wax to put in my ear, I feel like a young kid playing with silly putty (well sort of....haha). I love the fact that you can break the wax into an amount that feels comfortable to you. I then roll the wax into a perfect little ball and gently push into my ear canal. I love how it conforms to the shape inside my ear canal. They are super comfortable and do not fall out at all. If you wanted to, you can wash them out and reuse. However in one package you get 4 pairs of green wax and 4 pairs of blue wax. However because my ear canal is so small I end up using just one dot of the pair & breaking that dot in half and then breaking the half into another half to fit in both ears. I will throw out these ear plugs after 2 or 3 weeks and use the other half of a half of a dot (lol). If you do the math, then you know that one box will last me for quite some time (however if you have larger ears then you would use one dot per ear). At a little over $10 these ear wax dots are a bargain and they are super comfortable because they will conform to your ear shape.....not the other way around. Wouldn't you know that my sister is right. With ear plugs in, I have slept some of the best sleep of my life. I didn't realize how much I crave silence at night. Typically I have to keep the TV on just to have some noise and be able to sleep at night but in recent years, I find that if I don't turn off the TV then I can't fall asleep. Although the ear plugs won't cancel all the noises around me (for example: if I leave a tv on for a little bit until I feel sleepy, I can still hear it), it does a good job of creating a quiet environment. I live on a busy street so before ear plugs, the traffic in the early morning would wake me up but now with these dandy ear plugs, I don't hear any of that. However, I can still hear my alarm clock when it is time to wake up. I love these ear plugs and wonder how I ever slept without them. LOL.

The best
I literally wear these every night to sleep. They are so comfortable! I take one and split it into two smaller pieces and use one for each ear so they last me a really long time. It muffles the sound just enough because I am a light sleeper, but not so much that I wouldn’t be able to hear if there was an emergency or something. Love them and will always repurchase

Best Earplugs Yet. Good For Migraines & Tinnitus Sufferers Too : )
We Ordered These Earplugs Because Regular, Foam Earplugs, Fail To Stay In The Ear, & They Only Muffle The Sounds Around, Before Expanding And Pushing Out Of The Ear, Making The Completely Ineffective. These Earplugs Happily By Contrast Are A Moldable Putty Like Material You Can Fit Into Your Ear And Rinse Off. These Earplugs Are Gentle For The Skin, A Necessary Requirement For Anybody With Sjogren's, Lupus, And Or Sensitive Skin, Including In The Ears. These Earplugs After Using I Will By No Means Say Are 100% Noise Cancelling: Depending On How Much You Press Them Into Your Ear They Can Cancel I Would Say About 20 - 70 % Of The Sounds Around Me, That Includes Being In A Room With Thin Insulation, 2 People Talking, 2 Video Games Getting Played, People Downstairs (With The Door Open) Watching A Movie Turned Up Loud, A Ceiling Fan On Overhead That Makes A Wobbling Noise, And A Group Of 5 People In The House That You Can Hear With The Earplugs Out, Talking, All At The Same Time. And To Be Fair And Clear I Have Sensitive Hearing Primarily To Higher And Lower Pitches, That Many Complain About Me Having, Which Just To Be Honest With Everybody May Cause This Product To Work Better For Them, Than It Is For Me. In Regards To Migraines And Tinnitus, When Using The Ear Plugs; They Do Work Well For Reducing Noise That Inflicts Pain & Nausea During Audio Sensitive Migraines. And For Migraine Sufferer Like Me We Are Unable To Blame These Earplugs For This, But When I Wore Them At The Time They Ended Up Being Uncomfortable, Because The Migraine Made Me Sensitive At That Time To Pressure And Anything In Contact With My Head, Period, But They Did Help In Making That Particularly Bad Migraine Bearable, As Opposed To Wanting To Be Rendered Unconscious, In A Dark Quiet Hole. And With Tinnitus It Has Been Less Of A Bother As Of Lately After Getting The Earplugs, Like So Much Else In Life, But When I Have Used Them They Have Been Quite Helpful, Especially Since I Have Pulsatile Tinnitus, Making Being In Rooms With Other People Acceptable, Alleviating The Throbbing Feeling, Drumming Noise, Stress, Anxiety, Head Pain, And Heart Palpitations. The Only Reason I Give This 4 Out Of 5 Stars Is That It For Me Personally Fails To Cancel All The Noise Around Me, And Requires Me To Press Them Hard Into My Ears. But They Are Still Worth Buying Especially For The Price And Quantity. I Also Want To Add I Bought These And A Set Of High Fidelity Acoustic Filters At The Same Time, The Filters Are As I Write This Being Sent Back Because They Are Hard Plastic Painful For Sensitive And Extremely Sensitive Skin, And The Fact I Learned Through The Packaging And Trying Them Kind Of, That Certain Ear Shapes Are Unable To Wear Them And Will Fall Out And Or Fail To Fit In The Ear, Both Of Which I Ended Up Having : ) Making For Me Personally The "T NEWFUN" Earplugs Even More Worth Buying. (P.S. Amazing For Canceling The Sound Of Mouth Smacking And Eating Sounds Of People Next To You. : ) : ) : )

Good!
I had orginally bought the macks, and then these ones... So I had a bout of really bad sleep anxiety, and for some reason this manifested in hypersensitive hearing, as in I could hear my downstairs neighbor oxygen machine, and a streetlight "beep" a block down... extremely annoying and anxiety producing, Im pretty sure I was having a panic attack every night, it was hell on earth, but on to the point, I bought these and THEY WORK! They muffle everything to where you can only hear your own breathing and your heart beat, which was a whole 'nother issue for me but these work. Now if any of you are having issues, I recommend using the whole thing, dont cut it in half, and yes it collects moisture in your ear but its either that or no sleep. Now if anyone is/was having my issue, if you "listen" or concentrate real hard, you might still hear whatever sound it is you are trying to get away from, which is what happened with me, I had to do a real deep meditation and investigation on thinking of myself as an "observer" instead of a "fixer" to the sounds, and just kinda meditate and try to let the sound do its thing for a few nights and really truly try to trick my mind into letting it be. Ultimately after a month of nightly self-reaffirmations, I can now sleep with out these guys, but when I was really anxious and not in a good place, they were a life saver, I would recommend these, but at the same, Recommend anyone going through what I was going through to google how to not let sounds bother you cuz this is really like a cover for that, you must get to the source of the issue (in my cause, my own mental well being)

Be careful!
I wanted to see if anyone had posted something similar, or if it was just me. I did see a similar review so felt it important to share. Overall, I think these earplugs do the job. The problem is, any little sound wakes me up. In order to really block out noise with these, you have to push them into your ears. Then, natural body heat warms the material. When you go to pull them out, they pull apart and get stuck in your ear canal. This has happened to me twice since December. Both times I was half asleep, trying to get them out. Ultimately, pushing them further in. My mom and significant other had to dig it out the first time with tweezers. They said they could baaaaarely see it with the flashlight. After it was all said and done my war was sore and bleeding. The second time, I patiently used tweezers and sense of feel and scraped it out little tiny pieces at a time. It took me about 40 minutes, but I was scared mom would murder my ear again. I'm not sure the material is the best for earplugs. The melty-ness of it is definitely a hazard. Big bummer because I liked them. I just happen to like my ability to hear and not have damaged ears more.

Awesome Ear Plugs
Initially bought these ear plugs when I was living with a former housemate who would snore OBNOXIOUSLY loud and it would irritate me to the point that it affected my sleep. My bed was situated on the wall opposite of his room, which placed the foot of my bed a good 5-6ft from the wall. With my head another ~6ft away from the foot of my bed, my ears were effectively ~10ft from my housemate's snoring. Placing these bad boys in my ears made my roommate's obnoxious snoring, which traveled through my current room's paper thin walls and 10ft of distance, virtually disappear. The putty-like consistency of the ear buds made them comfortable to wear and they stayed in all night. Today, far removed from that roommate, I use them when I visit cafes to get work done. For the days the cafe's music is relatively loud, these ear plugs work well to cancel out most of the noise. If I had to place a percentage on the total amount of noise thats cancelled out, i'd say it'd be ~90% of total noise. All in all, will be definitely buying another round of these after I run through the ones I have.

This product sent me to two doctors.
UPDATE: I’ve been very good about replacing these when they get bad, they worked for what I wanted even if they were tedious and misleading. As I’m finishing my second pack, when I pulled the earplug out of my left ear the tip of the earplug broke off in my ear lodged up against my eardrum somehow. I couldn’t get it out myself, so I had to go to an urgent care (all with over 3 hour wait times) only for the doctor to dig in my ear, flush it, dig again and flush it again, making me extremely lightheaded and caused my ear to bleed. It didn’t come out. At this point I was sent home with ear drops, debrox and an antibiotic and referred to an ENT (ears, nose and throat specialist) which was further complicated by insurance problems, and in order to get a referral for one that my insurance would accept (which would be nearly 3 hours out of time either one I went to because my local one doesn’t take my insurance) I would have to get it looked at by my primary care so that he was legally able to refer me himself because I couldn’t get in contact with urgent care unless I wanted to show up and wait for hours for the possibility of speaking to the same doctor that saw me. I finally went in to my primary care about two days after this had been lodged in my ear and the same routine went down. More digging, poking, flushing, repeat.. finally if came out as they were about to give up and give me a referral out of town. I cried, I bought these because I’m a 20 year old college student and have really bad sensory issues + am a light sleeper, and because of this product that was supposed to help me for the past three days I have had to deal with something pressing against and pulling my ear drum as I yawned, chewed and burped, I had to hear my chewing sounds, my own voice echo in my head as I spoke, I couldn’t put in my loop earplugs or listen to music with earbuds when I was overwhelmed, I had to put liquids in my ear and take extremely big antibiotics (and still do for a few days) and I had to have sharp tools poke in my ear and water shot in my ears multiple times. I’m very lucky not to have to go out of town for a specialist, and I’m very lucky that my insurance covered MOST of the medical bills. DO NOT buy these, stick to the foam plugs and save yourself a lot of stress, time, pain and money. (Original review): These worked well but they don’t cancel a lot of noises even when you have the perfect seal, and you can only reuse each ear plug between 2-5 times before they start falling apart and collecting dirt, hair and other things. Loop earplugs are better for everyday situations to still hear people and I’m still searching for better moldable plugs to sleep and cancel all noises while also not being so sticky and a dirt collector. Also if your ears get oily, these aren’t for you. And don’t bother trying to get the amazon gift card they offer with the product in return for a good review, no one has gotten one.

Comfortable, Quiet Night’s sleep!
My hubby snores. Like, my kids sleep with their doors closed and fans on in their own room. I can feel the bed vibrate kind of snores. I’ve used the foam plugs-which are great for noise reduction- but they hurt my ears-and the sound/pressure of my own pulse in my ears is distracting enough to keep me awake. Plus I can’t sleep on my side with the others in! So I thought I’d give this a try. I was in my adjoining bathroom as I opened and applied them the first time. Super comfy! After a second I stopped and pulled one out to see if my hubby had woken up because I couldn’t hear him! (He was still snoring away) I can still tell he’s there and snoring once I’m in bed beside him, but with my sleep sounds app playing on my phone- I can still easily nod off. The putty isn’t sticky. I have long hair- and as long as it’s out of the way when I push the plugs in- It doesn’t stick to my hair. If you do get a hair caught-it slides out fine, with no residue. I did discover you get better sound blocking if the putty is not warm. It sealed best the first time of the night. If a child comes in and I have to yank one out- it’s warmer/softer on reapplication so it’s harder to get a perfect deal- but easily solved with the care of 6 others nearby! Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others who want a comfortable noise reduction.
