PILOTPrecise V5 RT Refillable & Retractable Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point 0.5 mm, Blue, Pack of 14

I'm generally picky with pens, and usually have trouble with pens due to how quickly I write at times. So I buy a lot of pens to test to find those that can keep up. These pens, while slightly scratchy on my cheap notebook paper, do evenly put down the ink on my paper regardless of my speed. When I take a moment and pause (but not lift my pen), they do bleed through, but that is with just about every pen. The head and tail of lines can be a bit long, but are not drastically noticeable.Writing on thin paper is just fine with these pens, and they do much better with higher quality workbooks. They feel and act like a standard pen, but if you're writing shorthand a lot (or have dense handwriting), they really shine with clean lines. Holding the pen upright gets you smaller lines, which can make cursive writing look much more readable.The black ink itself is nice and dark, with an ever slight warm tint to it. It's nice and even in color. The blue ink is nice and bright, and stands out well even on a lined piece of paper. The red looks slightly orange-red to me, but it is also bright like the blue and stands out well.Crosshatching is OK, but the head and tail of your lines may not be perfectly even until you get practice in. I've noticed with some very quick crosshatching, the start of each line can be a little rough, but overall decent.Left handed seems OK, as the ink dries fairly quickly. I am a right handed writer, but you pretty much have to be right on top of the writing as it is written to smudge it.Water bleeding/smudging in general still has to be tested, and images will be uploaded in the future, but so far my notes have survived a coffee cup sitting on them.With how new my pens are, I can not review the longevity or their capacity. They look like they have a lot of ink, but we will see.Overall, good pens. I really like them, but they're not on my 'gotta have' or 'must bring' lists. If I see them in a pen cup, I'd be likely to grab them first.

These are simply the best all-around pens I have ever tried. They leave rich, inky lines, and strokes feel smooth. I knocked off a star because they're not perfect. The inky lines can take a while to dry on bleed-resistant paper, and can sometimes end up smudging. Also, the metal tips are a bit on the weaker side and can end up bending or even snapping off if you're not careful. However, aside from those two problems, these pens are flawless! I've already bought three packs and will buy more as necessary!

I love a fine point pen and it is hard to find nice ones which are rollerball pens with fade-proof and water-resistant ink. The Extra-fine 0.5mm tip is exactly what I wanted and highly recommend these pens and they are refillable too!

I love Pilot Precise pens and I love that these are retractable! I could not find any with the extra fine point nearby so I was glad to come across these on Amazon.

Literally, hands down the BEST pens I have ever used! I am a nurse and do TONS of charting everyday. I formerly reviewed and LOVED the Pilot G2's claiming those to be the best. But I found one of these pens laying around at work and decided to buy my own after trying. The ink doesn't run, it writes smooth, and the lines are thin, but VERY bold and clear. I ran out of ink on my first one and it didn't skip, but was slowly fading allowing me to use it until the end. The ink lasts very long in these pens as well, even better than the G2. I have small, beefy hands and find this pen slightly more comfortable than the G2.By the way, the Pilot Precise is also known as the Pilot Hi-Tecpoint. They are identical pens. After much research I found this out.BUY THIS NOOOOOOWWWW!!!!

I have been very happy with all PILOT pens! Nice smooth writing pen ! Best not to drop them with the nib extended. It will bend during a fall at the correct angle! Don’t leave them lying around or someone will likely steal them they are that good. I prefer the 0.5 nib for finer writing or printing. If you hold in place during an extended time they will blot. Make sure the nib is extended back or they will leak in your pocket.

For the first couple of weeks I was thrilled with this pen. But then it started smearing and leaking into my pocket causing staining. Such a waste as the line size was perfect and it was comfortable to write with.

This is just not my pen.If you try to slide the pen on a piece of paper (five stars notebook), vertically and only by its weight, it will NOT leave a line at all.This is insane to me. It means you have to exert a lot of force in order just to roll the ball of the pen.None of my uniball/PreciseV5 has shown me to ridiculousness.

Tengo años usando estas plumas y las Pilot en general. Son excelentes. Las recomiendo totalmente. La tinta es fluida y no se acaba hasta que se acaba, literalmente, es decir, no reduce la intensidad del trazo hasta que ya no hay tinta. Y además éstas son recargables. Son mucho más recomendables para escritura que para dibujo porque puede correrse un poco la tinta al pintar sobre ella.
