Acoustic Sound Damping Foam

I use it to build a wet tumbler to clean brass. I use it to reduce the noise cause from the brass tumbling as it is being clean. I use plumer glue to permanet attach it to my PVC tube on the wet tumbler. It cut the noise down by 90 %.

This stuff doesn't do much of anything. Sound meter testing didn't show any attenuation. Cheaper foams that have wedge shapes did better.

Obviously nothing more than some foam removed from a pile of leftover packing scraps that has been not so cleverly labeled as acoustic foam.While this foam does seem to emulate the effect of putting a piece of paper over a crack to prevent air current from reaching you. It does however appear to have dampened the sound in it's application be preventing wires and other loose objects from vibrating against a thin metal case.Keep in mind; it's just foam. And tape may be more effective.

Works well in small spaces but definitely not for a full size studio unless you just need to patch some stuff.

This work is amortized I put on the back of my dishwasher had to glue it on but it cut the noise down quite a bit now it's super quiet
