Five stars for the fly -attracting scent!!!
This is a great product! Yes, as others have said, place the trap upwind, away from the patio/house. We just moved to Jacksonville FL from Orlando FL. I guess Orlando makes mosquito control top priority for the tourists thus controlling flies as well. I was shocked at the number of flies in my back yard and frequently in the house. Blaghhh disgusting! Seemed like hundreds! Let me tell you about my mistakes with this product. I put the jar on the ground and a few days later there was a bunch of dead flies in a jar that was overflowing because the sprinkler water filled it up. Mistake one. Mistake 2 was location. Sometimes the wind would swirl back to the patio and the husband complained. We fixed both problems by putting it behind the garden shed. The next time I emptied the jar, the liquid was black with decaying fly parts. Yeah!! Disposal of the liquid was easier than I expected. I dedicated a specific funnel for this job and poured it into a plastic jug, screwed on the cap and put in the garbage. Wash the funnel well or even the slightest liquid attracts the flies. I was thrilled by the success and bought a second Rescue fly trap. We were having flies getting into the house by the garage entrance. (We keep the garbage can in the garage), so I set the second trap about 10 feet away from the garage. Mistake 3....I thought the trap wold lure the flies away from the garage. Ha HA I think we lured the entire neighborhood flies to come to our garage!! And to boot, I put it so the odor wafted into the garage!! OMG!! Life is good now. Problem fixed. The flies are literally lined up in a swarm to enter the trap! Did I mention I wear gloves to empty the traps? I also should mention I wear disposable gloves any time I touch the jars. I mix up the solution out doors, adding outdoor faucet water to the jar. I don't want the smell in the house for several reasons. This product really works. You do not need to have the jar near the area you want fly-free. You should place the jar away from you so the flies will be attracted away from you!! Finally because the flies do like the garbage in the garage, I have researched Amazon product reviews and have ordered Terro Garbage Guard. It is a stick on that goes inside of the garbage can lid and kills flies for 4 months. I plan on securing the Garbage Guard with a tie wrap as suggested so the stick on doesn't get jostled free by the sanitation collectors. I like to be helpful when I find a good product. Good Luck!

Works TOO well!
My first review was removed, I am not sure why, so this is my next review. This is one of the greatest things I’ve ever used, and I really want to put this review, so I hope it is not removed again. On day one, I put the little bag in the water, and it immediately started swarming with flies. By day two, the water was completely full of dead flies (see pics). By day four, I believe the smell of dead flies was attracting more flies, and this thing was absolutely covered with flies, inside and out, and swarming all around. I believe I made a big dent in the population of flies in this neighborhood, with this one little thing. I will definitely be buying more of these to put around my house, and I will always have plenty of refills on hand. I would recommend dumping out all the dead flies about once a week, because the smell is awful. Next, I want to find something that is this effective for mosquitoes.

Works Great!
The RESCUE! Outdoor fly trap was amazing this past summer. It really cut down on the amount of flies we normally get. Best to hang it away from the house or the pool because they are stinky which is why it attracts the flies lol

It works, almost too well.
It definitely does attract flies as advertised but also it seems to have attracted even more flies to my area as it’s truly irresistible to them. So this is a bit of a double-edged sword. It says you can just throw it out when it’s full of flies but also, it’s extremely smelly and I worry that even throwing out this thing would attract even more flies. I personally don’t think it’s the right thing for me but it definitely DOES WORK TO ATTRACT ALL THE FLIES IN AN AREA! I however wanted to be rid of flies in the area so maybe not the right thing for that.

It doesn’t work! Wish it did but it does not.
This has not worked at all. Not 1 single fly and used in a location that has hundreds of them.

They work
These actually helped but the same brand has the bag ones over these and they are half the price and does the same job. First couple of days it smells pretty bad around it but then it goes away and pretty helpful if you live in an apt complex.

Kills hundreds at a time.
First time I've tried one of these. Was using a jelly feeder for my birds this year but it also brought in numerous flies so I bought this and we filled it up 3 times with dead flies. Cleaning is gross but it is worth it to keep the flies away.

MALO, MALO, MALISIMO
Había más moscas en unas migajas de comida sobre la mesa que moscas queriendo entrar al bote o al menos al rededor del bote, si entraron algunas pero preferían el pan y tortilla
