Good price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are my dessert secret weapon *by K***1 on July 7, 2021* I have been experimenting with tirimisu for my husband. I had been making it with supermarket “ladyfingers” which are spongy long versions of their sponge cake in the deli section. I took a chance on this product because crunchy Italian ladyfingers seem more of what the original recipe should be AND the grocery store was out at a critical party juncture and I will not run out again. I was concerned about them still being crunchy in the dessert. My recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of espresso/rum and I always run out so I made 3 cups. I empty two packages (cellophane packs inside the main) onto the table, with one biscuit in each hand, I swish around three times and place them in the dish. They will stay crunchy-ish for about 1 min and then soften so I can break a few in half and tuck into corners. Holy moly! I can’t go back. It’s like being in Qatar business class. I don’t know what I’m going to do now but I can’t go back to economy. Oh my gosh they magically turn into sponge cake. The are less expensive than my grocery store brand and quality is off the charts better. I made an apricot Bavarian and instead of baking a sponge cake I used these. Instead of coffee I brewed strong lemon zinger and some peach tea, then added apricot brandy and lemon zest along with some sugar. Same as my tirimisu soaking liquid. OH. MY. GOD. It turned into pillowy soft lemon scented cake with the apricot Bavarian. In the fall I’m going to hoard bengal spice tea and do a pumpkin or ginger spiced variety.
