BlackVue DR900X-2CH with 32GB microSD Card + CM100 LTE | 4K Cloud Dashcam | External 4G LTE Module | Cloud Connectivity

We had a friendship that went bad. The car was vandalized and stories were being told. I bought the camera system to basically keep people honest.In February our son was headed home on a five lane highway. He was in the center lane to make a left hand turn onto our city street. He noticed in his rear view mirror that a pickup swerved and almost hit him from behind. The pickup than swerved back around him and headed back into the center lane. My son called 911 and the police was able to catch up with the pickup. The pickup also almost hit one of the police officers. All of this was caught on video and turned over the the arresting officer.There have been accusations about my son following people in which the camera supports his claims that he was no where in the area when the accusations were made. To this date very few people know that the camera is installed. I would love to post the video of the drunk but at this time I cannot.This camera system will help keep people honest. It was easy to install with having no experience really being mechanically inclined.

I have my device connected to an AT&T 4G LTE activated data line with their LTE module for cloud service and the device will not function. It is advertised to work with AT&T, but it does not. I have called BlackVue support several times as well as AT&T technical support several times and have been unable to resolve the issue. At this point they tell me not only can they not refund the device which has never worked, as it is now outside their 30 day return window. It was a Christmas gift ordered in December and took until late January to have installed (also an expensive install into my GLS450). Further, I have been working with their tech support people for three weeks now. But my only remaining option is to reformat all the drivers on the SD card in an attempt to repair it myself or try another carrier (T-mobile). All of these ideas/policies are absolutely unacceptable as a corporate method of operation. Customer support in support of their devices by blackvue is terrible. I would very much like to hear fro the person I charge of Customer Support. VP level or higher.

With much effort and a lot of time chatting with Tech Support at BlackVue, I finally got the camera working. I never got the Cm100LTE device to work. Two SIM cards and a lot of time spent with AT&T trying to update the card, I could not get the LTE device to work. It was going to be expensive as well, so unless you REALLY have a need for it, I would dispense with it all together.

THE CAMRERA IS HIGH TECH AND FUCTIONS ARE GREAT AND INOVATIVE.i HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO WORK OUT AN ISSUE THAT WAS ACTUAL AT&T (LTE PROVIDER SIM CARDSCREWUP) AFTER BUYING A TEAM MOBILE PREPAID UNLOCKED CARD IT WAS FINE. ANOTHER ISSUE WAS THE GPS TRACKING AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS WORKING ON THE SOLUTION WHICH IS MOST LIKELY A GOOGLE CHROME MAPS ISSUE AND A FIRMWARE FIX WILL HOPEFULLY FIX THE CODE. MINOR ISSUES BY IM A PERFECTIONIST. THE CLOUD CAPABILITY WORK FLAWLESSLY i GIVE A BIG THUMBS UP TO PITASOFT DESIGN TEAM.

I researched BlackVue, Thinkware and Viofo. I wanted a cloud based app, so unfortunately that eliminated Viofo. I say unfortunately because of the three, Viofo had the best video quality. The Thinkware app didn't have good reviews, and it looked like Blackvue had better video quality, so I purchased two BlackVue DR900X-2CH with CM100 LTE - one for me and one for my son. Yesterday a car cut me off while driving in my neighborhood. My speed was only 22 MPH, his about 26 MPH. Impossible to see his registration plates - or registration plates on almost all other cars parked on the street for that matter. Quality is awful. Hugely disappointed and would not recommend. And what they charge for the polaroid lens is outrageous. Unfortunately, return date has passed**** UPDATE 2025 - NO MORE FREE CLOUD SERVICE! ****I purchased two of these back in 2021 in the event any of the cars were stolen. The beauty of Blackvue was the cloud service that made a moving vehicle trackable. The cloud option was free for each camera, but required a subscription for a fleet. We each just used the free single vehicle option. Today, February 4, 2025, Blackvue has announced that as of February 25, 2025 users will no longer have access to the cloud unlesss they subscribe to Fleeta for $16 per month. Without the free cloud option, this camera IS NO BETTER THAN ANY OTHER CHEAP DASHCAM!! DO NOT BUY!AND, I've just discovered that my camera hasn't recorded anything since OCTOBER 2023!!! This company and their cameras are absolute garbage!**** UPDATE 2021 - IT GETS WORST! ****A few days ago (07-16-2021) I witnessed an altercation between two individuals - an older man and a teen. I recognized the teen and so intentionally parked my vehicle facing the incidence to ensure I'd capture everything on video. I turned off the ignition assuming the car would go into parking mode - AS BLACKVUE CLAIMS. I opened the door to my vehicle, and intervened verbally. The older man got back into his vehicle and as he drove away, smashed into the other car. I assured the young driver he had nothing to worry about because the entire incidence had been captured on video. But it wasn't. EXACTLY 3 MINUTES are missing from the moment I turned off my ignition - Blackvue did not record anything for THREE WHOLE MINUTES after turning off my engine. Blackvue support is useless - they don't reply to emails, and those who answer support calls have no idea what is going on. Blackvue sucks.

I was hesitant to spend this amount of money for a dash cam since I had a Garmin cam (for around $200) that worked well for me. I decided to upgrade to 4K and also take advantage of the parking mode since thefts and vandalism has gone up where I live.Although, I haven't been able to test the parking mode's ability to catch thefts, vandalism, or damage, the regular dash cam performance is good.I also bought the optional battery pack to extend parking mode.Pros:- Good video quality- Parking mode- Option to add optional battery pack to save car's battery- LTE module to view live feed from car and get notificationsCons:- Expensive- Requires LTE service for live notifications- App seems outdatedOverall, this is a solid camera if you are willing to pay the price.
