USA made Tough good for nesting/digging
XL memory foam is Great for older dogs. Our 8 year old 80lb pit boxer mix is a nester/digger, he has ripped and scratched apart one of those cheap $20 beds every 3 months for years. He is older and has a touch of arthritis now so I took a chance on this and I do not regret buying this bed at all. I got the denim it's soft but tough and doesn't make that horrible canvas noise when he walks or scratches at it. On month 3 now with minimal wear. I wash the bed once a week with tide cold water and fabric softener I also dry it on low even thou you are supposed to lay flat to dry. The cover is replaceable but shows little wear and the foam is still just fine he diggs at the bed several times a day.At first he didn't really like it I had to put the bed in his favorite stop and put his blanket on top. After that he was fine but he still won't lay on it if the plush blankets aren't on there so he can digg them into a nest.I'm giving it 4 stars for the high price, the bed is great I only bought it at over $100 because it is USA made. Also I would not recommend this as a shared bed for dogs over 120lbs combined weight. If I sit on this bed I sink and can feel the floor.

My dog is happy with it, but it is a tad too small for her.
I purchased this bed for my 11 year old German Shepherd. She was showing signs of arthritis, so I have been including tumeric, omegas and glucosamine in her food. That seemed to work, but her bed was tough for her to get in and out of. I did a lot of research and found this to be the best as far as consumer reviews go. I purchased it for my 80 pound dog. The bed is very high quality, and I had no issues with it at all other than the size of the bed being labeled for an XL. Now, the measurements are just as described in the product description, but it is just a tad too small for my dog. She still likes it, and I know it is going to be good for her, I just need to stick a little blanket or pillow on one end so that when she goes to sleep at night, her head is not hanging off the side. I should mention that for a female German shepherd, she is a little larger than most.

This bed is a definite hit!
My dog is a rescue greyhound, and if you know anything about greyhounds, they love soft comfortable spots. She's not a senior dog, but is quite thin (though not thin for a greyhound!)Originally we got her a bunch of the cheapie Walmart beds. They weren't terrible, but I will admit I got sick of fluffing the darn things up. Plus as a nester, she likes to bunch up her blankies....well.. it can be a mess to straighten out, especially when you then have to also un-ball the bed too! Those beds really don't keep their shape or their fluffiness very long, and for a while I was stacking 2 of them together so she could be comfortable. So lets get to this bed; When I got the box, brought it in and unpacked it, I certainly had my doubts about it being big enough. My pup is 70lbs thereabouts but quite tall, and this thing fit into a pretty small box. Anyway, I let it flatten out and fluff up for about 2 hours, which does indeed change your mind about it working out! To entice her on the bed I did put her blankies on it and also laid on it myself. (I left the waterproof liner on it) After about a half day of circling the bed, she decided it had to be OK. That night, I've not seen or heard a happier dog. She roached the first night, which is the greatest seal of approval. She does still does her nesting thing, and likely will always do so, but the cover is extremely durable, and I don't think it will ever be an issue, and at least now, she doesn't ball the bed into a heap with her blankets! Here are a few negatives (and as you can see from the stars I gave this bed, they're not that bad, but something to be aware of);The bed IS heavy. It does speak to the quality of the foam true, but, its quite awkward to move around after its fluffed to its original size. Had I really thought about it before I opened the packaging, I would have never moved this through the entire house at its original size. The waterproof cover is rather crinkly and she doesn't dig the noise. Knock on wood, my pup is quite young (a 4 year old) and doesn't have any incontinence issues, so I could take it off, but, I also found that enough blankets keeps the noise to a minimum. I'd rather keep it on as you never know when accidents could happen. The bed can be slick on wood floors. Under her bed I use a non-slip rug pad underneath as our floors are bamboo and oak.She STILL finds a way to have bed fails even though this bed fits her just fine, but I'm sure thats just a dog thing. Certainly though as her other beds breakdown, they will be replaced with these.

A few design flaws.....
I tried to write the company at the email address they provided, but it does not work ([email protected]) So here it is:I ordered a bed from you via Amazon ( Order # 113-8158458-2879456) and it arrived in May. I'm just now getting around to feedback/reviews. What you should know:1. The memory foam does not seem to have the same level of density and memory that the foam I sleep on does. I'd expected similar quality for the cost.2. The denim cover would be much easier to remove and put back on if the zipper were on 2 sides, or even 3, not just one. Think more like a suitcase than a pillowcase. Those of us constantly handling dog beds in our work notice that kind of detail.3 (Main reason for writing) The inner sleeve that is supposed to be a "waterproof liner" is just a sleeve...it should close somehow....if not a zipper, maybe velcro of some sort. As it is, it leaves a side of the foam vulnerable to moisture, and with dogs, all kinds of things can happen.Other than these things, I have no complaints. The large dog I bought it for did not much care for it, but he was found to actually have bone cancer, and is no longer with us.Other dogs, most recently a Great Dane, like it well enough.
