my grandmother and mother used this for as long as I can remember. I STILL use it. i start filling up water with detergent then add the bluette little at a time. swirl the water then add whites and run a bit. let it soak for 30 mins and voila! the whitest t-shirts ever.

It makes my whites so clean and white. Seriously, works like a charm and I'm so happy I could find it on amazon because they are hard to find in stores!

Works well, I just don’t like to be having to dilute so going back to vinegar and baking soda.

New towels that had been stored away, had discoloration. This may take time, but I see a difference either Bluette.

This product has been around for many many years. If used correctly according to the directions it does brighten your white clothing.

For years I’ve been using this, but it was in the block powder form, which I had to mix with water having it premade is the best . I mix it with the fabric softener in my white clothes to get them super bright

First of all, this is an extremely deep blue solution in the bottle. Getting the foil seal off the top resulted in some spilling onto the countertop in the kitchen I was working over, and it took some major work to get the stain cleared and the counter back to normal. I know that this is a dyeing agent and it's probably obvious, but I wasn't expecting it to hard to get into the bottle and past the foil seal. The instructions are directly on the bottle and somewhat generic, so don't expect any complicated formulas. It was a little confusing to me because the instructions don't mention anything about load size or what the dilution ratio is supposed to be - It just says to "pour 1/2 cup into the wash while filling", which I didn't find to be particularly helpful. I was only interested in trying it on a small load of dress shirts to see what kind of results I could get, so it was a little complicated. I thought it worked pretty well. I can see that it make the shirts a slightly brighter white and no longer the gray, worn look that they had before. It's definitely an improvement, but not at all as bright as they were when they were new. If you're just trying to extend the life of your white clothes before you need to replace them, then I'd suggest this bluing agent.
