MAYTEXMills 90079 Ball Shower Hooks, Oil Rubbed Bronze

I really like these shower curtain hooks! They are heavy, rich-looking and simple in designated perfect for my fabric outer curtain. I am glad however, that I got them from the warehouse for half the price. The reason..although they are described as “oil rubbed bronze” they appear almost black. Pretty, but not what I was expecting. I thought ‘bronze’ would be more like the other hooks I bought for the inner waterproof curtain described as bronze. As you can see they are very different in color when put side-by-side. I will still use them as not a terrible issue, just be aware that they are much much darker than an expected bronze color might seem.

I like the style, but they weren’t bronze, more black with like reddish sparkles in the light. They were still pretty though. The reason I’m only giving it two stars is because they aren’t very functional. They fit too tightly around the rod to slide easily, so you have to fiddle with them to open or close the curtain. These shower curtain hooks are functional enough, in that they will hold your shower curtain and stay on the curtain rod. Don't expect anything remotely resembling quality construction or looks here, though. Unlike another shower curtain ring set that I have, the balls on the ends of these hooks are not welded onto the ends of the hooks -- they are screwed on, which creates noticeable gaps between the hook ends and the balls and gives the hooks a decidedly cheap appearance. I wouldn't purchase these again, nor would I recommend them. For a few bucks more, I would have gladly paid to have a better quality construction. Also, the "nickel" finish doesn't look anything like real nickel.

I purchased these for the guest bath. When I opened the packaging I was nicely supprised that they were so heavy. They really feel nicely solid. The ends that are pushed through the button holes on the curtin are nice with a smallish ball on th end. That will keep them from just falling out if they were to be taken down. The hook itself is also nice the way it nearly locks around the rod. They will not just jump off the rod and cause droups or tangle up with the next hook. Very nice clean look with the silver balls on the outside. Just lovely product.

The hooks that arrived were black -- jet black. There was nothing brown/bronze about them. I contacted the seller and they were very responsive. They offered to replace them, and indicated that I didn't need to mail the first order back.The second set arrived and were exactly the same as the first -- jet black. Interestingly, the color black is not even a buying option.For the price, the quality seems fine and they did seem to function fine. But I can't use black hooks.

Nice, sturdy, subtle shower curtain hook. Bought this set as a temporary until I found the perfect curtain and hooks, but have been so pleased with the look and performance, that I have moved the replacement task further down my to-do list.The brushed nickel is simple and modern. The metal has not tarnished or rusted and the metal is smooth so it doesn't dig into the shower curtain rod or scratch it up. The hooks are sturdy and have not sagged or bent, or worse, snapped! It is very easy to hook to the curtain and rod and the rounded ends keep it from damaging the curtain. I like that it offers a subtle, clean look.

The small ball on the end does keep the hook from coming off the rod, great idea for sure. The bigger ball on the other end is a lot bigger than it appears to be in the picture, the size of a malt ball, maybe. I found these hooks to be very heavy and bulky. I didn't find them to be very easy to slide, but I have a curved shower rod so that played a role in sliding the curtain too, but it doesn't take away the fact that they are big, bulky, and heavy. I like the simple appearance but didn't like the way they functioned.

It bothers me that it left some metallic looking flakes on my fingers when I handled them. Rust resistant, huh? I just hope the "high grade" stainless steel will keep the rust at bay because the coating doesn't look promising.

Los ganchos son de metal con acabado en negro más que bronce. Leí las reseñas anteriores y justamente por eso los pedí, ya que el tubo era de un color similar y coordinó perfecto. Son lo suficiente pesados para mantenerse en el tubo y la bolita al final permite un mejor agarre.Le doy 4 estrellas porque llegaron solamente 11 , pero no quería esperar para que llegaran nuevamente.
