Like actually pick them up rather than sliding them?** A: I never used the sheets for lifting a patient, and might hesitate to do so. They seem quite substantial, but they are very slippery and the patient might not be secure. They are truly remarkable for sliding a patient, however. My patient was six feet tall and had weighed about 160 pounds. It was easy to push a sheet under him, and he did not experience any friction when he was repostioned while on the sheet. As a matter of fact, the sheets allowed me slide him easily back up to the top of the bed, and from side to side. I used a Mo-Lift to lift him, and that is a wonderful, easily moved device (and quite expensive), but it allowed him to be removed from the bed and transferred to a Raz commode chair or wheelchair. **Q: Will this work to pull a 300lb person. At the bottom of the bed, I stand and pull his feet, to pull him down in bed?** A: I'm sure it depends on how strong you are. You might have to tuck it in very well. Pulling downhill is always much either than the other way. In my experience caring for a very ill person, I was always having to pull him UP because he would always slide down due to gravity and certainly with the slippery sheet. Due to that issue and my need to pull the patient up, the sheet wasn't that useful for me. My patient had lost so much weight too that he was only probably 125 lb at the time or so... so don't know if I be so helpful re a 300lb person. **Q: Will it work on top of disposable pads that she sleeps on, or do I have to remove the disposable pad first ?** A: Our slide sheets are designed to always be used in a double layer, in between any surface, wherever you need help. No need to remove the disposable pad before placing a double layer underneath it. **Q: Can the person stay on top of this all the time?** A: I would assume but it would be hot!
