MattelMattel Batman The Brave and The Bold Caped Crusader Kit

We got this costume for my 3 year old because he loves Batman. He loves to wear this costume almost every day. I wouldn't get this for Halloween as it more for every day play. The half mask is awesome because it leaves his nose and mouth open for safety and ease. It's made of a thick plastic not cheap or flimsy. The cape is also very cool because he can slip it over his head himself, the batman symbol is made of thick heavy plastic to keep it in place and the cape is a silky light material. I only gave it 4 stars because the belt is too big and way too thick and hard to bend so it did not stay on, frustrating my son until no end. We tried to open another hole but because the belt would not bend easily it kept poping off. I finally trashed it one night and told him we had lost it. Another reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the cape has a small hole on it, but then again he does use it quite a bit! Would recommend for sure, my son is soon turning 4 and it still fits him since the cape is one size fits all and the mask is well sized for 3-5 age group.

I received this as a gift for my then 2 1/2 year old son who is now 4 and still playing with this costume. It really fits a wide size range in kids and my 7 year old and his friends can play with it too. We've had to re-tie the elastic on the mask a few times but I have 3 boys wearing this costume often so I think it has held up well. If you are looking for a costume that your kids (as young as 2) can take on and off by themselves this one is it. Also, I don't see it mentioned in the description but the cape is breakaway with velcro so it's very safe too. I just purchased another for a friends 4 year old who is big for his age and I have no worries about this costume fitting him fine.

Do not buy. Waste of money. Should have heeded other reviewers. Belt is stiff plastic that does not give up the bent shape in which it is boxed. Belt is big enough for an adult. The over the head Batman Logo flops around on the childs chest. The plastic logo is heavy in comparison to the flimsy fabric it is glued to. Best features are the batarangs and the mask. Those are nice. Up to you if you want to spend the money for those items.

Son loved having Batman costume for Halloween. The belt on the costume is the only downside, the hard plastic doesn't bend much to wear.

The mask is really nice, and the cape is cool. the belt is a bit cumbersome, and hard for my 3 year old to put on...but he loves the batarangs. Over all a good value for your little batman want-to-be.

Great and fun product. They are not selling the whole outfit, so if that is what you are looking for, this product isn't for you. But if all you want is the belt, mask and cape this is the product for you. My 3yo brother loved and can't have enough of it.

The cape is very thin, I expected better quality. For $20 and of this quality, I would expect the whole costume. At this price range, costco or Target sells the whole costume!

My son received this for his 3rd birthday and he loved is so much that I bought it for my nephew's 3rd birthday. They love it and it is great quality!
