Was going to use this to duplicate a drive, but the system never detected it as being there. Tried 2 other NVMe drives and none of them worked with this adapter either. Not really sure what will work with it, to be honest. I was going to just throw it away, but I think I'll put it under one of my table legs to stop it from wobbling.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wanted to move a USB SSD inside the case of my router PC. This was the least expensive board I found on Amazon Prime. So I took and gamble and it works fine!All came in soft pack with mounting screw and threaded washer. Very pleased. Took my maybe 5 minutes to make the swap and now I have more reliable access to my extra SSD.

The adapter works great but it's tricky to mount. The mounting holes on the adapter line up with the mounting holes you would find on a normal SATA drive however on a SATA drive the holes are tapped and mounting screws thread into them. On this adapter the holes are just holes in the PCB.If there were nuts provided like they did for mounting the M.2 card to the board, then this would be perfect. I had to fish around in my spare parts until I found a pair of nuts and bolts small enough to work with this.

It works fine. Freed up a dual interface M.2 slot for a new NVME drive without wasting the old SATA drive.

The NVMe chip is too wide to fit into the slot in the card. I bought both the blue card (supposedly to support NVMe) and the cheaper green card for standard m.2 ngff chips and the cards are identical. Neither will fit the NVMe chip.

Below is what I originally wrote. After some research, I discovered that I was uninformed. Apparently, M.2 cards have 2 different & incompatible key structures. This device is setup to ONLY work with cards that have either "B" key OR BOTH "B" AND "M" key slots. My M.2 card only has the "M" key and is thus incompatible with this device. The other thing I've learned is that NOBODY makes an "M" keyed device to convert to a SATA interface.Initial review:"I've tried 4 different M2 cards, NONE will fit into this device! The key post on the connector is offset by 0.5mm. Enough the M2 card won't fit. If they're that lax in QC, what might've happened to my data had it actually fit?"
