Garnier Fructis Fiber Gum Putty, 5.0 Oz

I bought this because I sometimes buzz off my hair with a hair trimmer and it leaves my hair standing straight up..Even after my hair has grown out quite a lot,my hair will still stand up. I would use gel,and that would do the trick in holding it down. For a while i've used "moco de gorilla gel",it's somewhat thick and keeps my hair down pretty well. It just leaves it very hard and shiny which I don't like too much...I bought Garnier Fructis Fiber Gum because I was thinking it would be a lot thicker and a bit similar to gatsby hair putty. It isn't sadly. This putty is very thin and not very thick at all,the thickness of it is almost the same as shampoo. Except this is more gooey-ish...It's feels very light in your hand. I don't like that it's advertized as being able to get any style you want,because it's nothing like gel or hairspray. It is good though for messier hair styles and adding a bit of texture to your hair. It wont harden,and it doesn't make your hair stay down or in place.When I first got this my hair was shorter and it stood up,using this did not help one bit,it did take out some of the frizziness but it did not help it stay down. and now that my hair is LONGER and stays down on its own,it doesn't hold up too well when I give it a messy look. So it isn't very good for keeping down hair or keeping it up..But it is a good product for adding texture and getting rid of frizz, just don't buy it for keeping down your stubborn hair or crazy hairstyles,unless you plan to use other products with it too.

I love this stuff. I'm allergic to most haircare products, so my hair usually looks like I just got out of the gym. I resigned myself to ponytails for the rest of my life. After an unfortunate attempt to cut my own hair, I went to Great Clips for a shag cut. Garnier Frictis Style Fiber Gum putty gives me some height at the crown so my hair looks styled. Rub it into your hair after a shower, then clip it up while it dries or blow it out. It stays put better than any mousse than I have ever used.Garnier sure hair texture paste matte effect STRONG is easier to blow out and is pretty good about giving height.

This stuff is terrific for styling a woman's pixie cut or men's short hair. Especially good for coarse, thick hair as even a dime-sized amount would probably weigh down thin or fine hair. I have used this product for years but am very disappointed the company (Garnier) changed to Fiber Spikes, it's the same product but a much smaller quantity and more expensive.

I perm my hair curly and drive a convertible with the top down always. This product if allowed to dry before I leave with the top down, holds and maintains the curls I scrunch in with the putty. I like it!

This is the only product I have tried that gives fullness and body to my fine hair. I've spent a lot of money and tried almost everything before discovering this. I am so glad I can still get it on Amazon.com since it is no longer available in local stores. Love it!!

Love this product. Believe it is discontinued so this is probably my last jar. It has a thick gel like consistency and it keeps your hair in place. Heavy duty holding power!

Great product for twisting rass. Holds your hair in place. I use it with my hair wet and let it dry.

this works best when my hair is longer its a very light hold kinda volumize's hair my hair is thick so if you dont use something else with it you can look like you have a football helmet for hair. but its light and easy to use no crunchy hold
