It's a toaster, works like it should.
While it's just a toaster, it's a very nice one. I bought it for the retro look, and because it matches my other stainless steel appliances, and it looks quite nice left on the ccountertop. The bread slice holes could be a smidge wider to accommodate hamburger buns, but otherwise it's perfect. The toaster is solid! It's a nice weight, it feels like a higher quality appliance as compared to the cheaper toasters I've had, and I like that the rubber feet really do their job; this toaster won't slide around. It's got multiple settings (bagel, defrost, reheat) and the one for bagels toasts more slowly so the outside of your bagel won't burn before it gets warmed. The reheat feature works similarly. A cancel button if you need it will pop your bread up, and the darkness knobs are very sensitive. Whatever your toast color preference, you can get it with this toaster. Finally, the clean out for this toaster is a breeze with slide out trays (see photo) that come all the way out with no bothersome clips to fuss with, and can be cleaned. All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

This cusinart is worth a serious look
This product is a great product. It can do everything but butter the toast. My old Sunbeam finally gave out. This toaster will defrost all bake items. I can toast bagels an sourdough bread. It might have been a little on the pricey side. But, now I have to learn how to dial it in when toasting all the different items. I normally, do not give out five stars, but this toaster hits it out of the park. Very good item and worth the price. You might want to consider this model when looking for a new toaster. We got to replace our old one
We had a toaster just like this one. It lasted two years and then this morning the front one would pop down and toast the bread the second one you would push down and it would pop right back up. I tried it my husband tried it. It just wouldn’t work. The toaster works well with bagels bread pretty much anything you want to toast. It’s got a wide slot. You know you don’t have to use super thin bread. It browns really well and the food taste great. Like I said, we got it to replace the old one.

Hope Its Performs As Well and Lasts As Long as Our Old Toaster Did.
We had this same toaster model for 10 years or so and it finally gave up the ghost. We noticed that this new one, which is supposed to be the same make and model as the old one, seems to be not as robustly built as the old one. It feels less expensively constructed, but we hope it has the same durability and staying power as the old one did. It also seems to toast lighter than the old one did on the same settings, which may be due to new government regulations from the past four years that are supposed to make toasters more energy efficient. We hope they haven't ruined what was a very good product in the name of a greener environment.

doesn't make toast evenly
I had previously purchased the 435 model of Cuisinart toaster and it lasted 12 years. One of the buttons melted, but it was my fault, so I can't fault the toaster, but did want a new toaster as we were going to be remodeling my kitchen. I saw this model and saw many great reviews, so after reading about man other toasters, I decided to buy this toaster. First off, it is not as sturdy as I expected, compared to the previous Cuisinart model. Everything about it seems kind of cheap. I am from a generation where things were actually made to last, so things these days most of the time do not fulfill that from the jump. This toaster simply does not toast correctly. It burns the edges and the center is cooked correctly. It doesn't matter how much adjusting you do, it just doesn't toast correctly, so that is a bare minimum requirement for me. Secondly, the bagel setting does not seem to work like the other model and just toasts the bread exactly like regular toast, so not sure why it is even a setting. I will be buying another toaster soon as I don't like burnt toast or crummy eggo waffles when I make them on occasion. I wish I could give another recommendation, but I will be back to the drawing board when I start my search again in the near future. Even the most expensive toaster brands seem to have negative reviews, so this was why I went with this brand and model. I do not recommend it for others to purchase and I'm not sure why there are so many good reviews as I don't think I got a lemon, it just isn't that great.
