No Grassiness, Just Goodness – Aki Matcha Delivers
Delicious, Budget-Friendly Matcha! 🍵🌿✨I’ve tried quite a few matcha powders, and Aki Matcha honestly impressed me—especially considering the price. I was expecting the usual grassy or even seaweed-like aftertaste that sometimes comes with more affordable matcha, but this one had none of that. When I made it into a latte, it had a smooth, rich flavor with subtle cacao notes and a light, nutty finish. It wasn’t overpowering or bitter at all. I didn’t need to add a ton of sweetener either, which was a nice bonus. If you’re someone who enjoys matcha daily but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on ceremonial-grade powders, this is a great option. It mixes well, smells fresh, and doesn’t have that weird chalky taste. Definitely a solid everyday matcha for anyone on a budget but still wanting that good quality flavor. I’ll be keeping this one in my rotation for sure.

The most delicious matcha I've ever had!
Lately, I've been experimenting with various Matcha powders to determine the best balance between cost and quality. I conducted a taste test, and here's my assessment of the 10 Ceremonial Grade Matcha options I tried.About Cost:- Ippodo: $1.55/gr - size 20g- MatchaKari: $1/gr - size 30g- Aki: $1/gr - size 30g- Matchabar: $.83/gr - size 30g- Kyoto Dew: $.83/gr - size 30g- Jade Leaf: $.67/gr - size 30g- Encha: $.65/gr - size 30g- Naoki: $.60/gr - size 40g- Aki: $.60/gr - size 50g- Kenko: $.90/gr - size 30g- Pure Chimp: $.30/gr - size 50g...Here is Top 4:#1: Aki matcha ($1/gram)size 30gRating: 10/10This matcha is super tasty, Hands down the best Matcha I’ve ever tasted.Very smooth & creamy like chocolate, great smell aroma, vibrant green color, sweet aftertaste. I love it!The price is acceptable, not so pricy.#2: Ippodo: $1.55/gramSize 20gRating: 9/10I have used Ippodo for very long time like 8yrs, very good matcha overall, but its very pricey to use daily. Earthy taste, sweet, Intense and complex with an unmatched bright rich green color. This is a limited use Matcha for me because of the price.#3: Aki: $.60/gramSize 50gRating: 8.5/10Beside 30g version, this 50g version from Aki brought me a surprise. Come with $0.60/gr I thought it was just good as mid-price range, but actually its super tasty as well. Not so vibrant green color like the aki 30g size, but its taste so good, very sweet after taste, very smooth and creamy, sweet umami, nutty.I use this one as daily usucha matcha mornings.#4: Kyoto Dew: $0.83/gramSize 30gRating: 7/10A particularly good Matcha but lacks the high complexity of Ippodo and Aki. Mild bittersweet, earthy, smooth and slightly milky complex with a bright rich green color.About The rest:Rating:- MatchaKari: 6.5/10- Matchabar: 5.5/10- Jade Leaf: 5/10- Encha: 6/10- Naoki: 6/10- Kenko: 6.5/10- Pure Chimp: 3/10

I can't find better matcha than this one 30g aki matcha, truly Exceptional!
As someone who frequently travels between Japan and the USA, I've had the privilege of experiencing matcha at its finest on both sides of the Pacific. Recently, I conducted a thorough test of 17 different matcha brands, and I can confidently say that nothing quite compares to the exceptional quality of this matcha superior matcha 30g from Aki.I have used Aki Matcha for my F&B business since 2014, I always carry it with me every time I go as my morning routine without using coffee. Whether I'm in the bustling streets of New York or soaking up the sun in California. This matcha takes me on a journey with every sip, reminding me of the serene tea ceremonies in Kyoto and the vibrant energy of Tokyo.About the quality,- Color: Vibrant green.- Smell: I can tell right away that it's top-notch stuff just by smelling it, great aroma, so fresh.- The taste: It's creamy, smooth, bold like chocolate, rich flavor and perfect balance of flavors and not bitter at all.I've made matcha lattes and the traditional Usucha Matcha tea, and it nails it every time. So, if you're into matcha, do yourself a favor and give Aki Matcha a shot. You won't be disappointed. It's all about quality here, and this matcha delivers.

The search is over! Excellent!
I have tried every ceremonial grade matcha I can get my hands on, even importing directly from Japan, and the balance of quality and value of this is the best of them all! It's creamy and light, yet buttery and rich with pronounced umami and cimplexity. It is pleasantly vegetal and earthy at the same time with the perfect whisper of biterness and and nice natural sweetness on the back end. It has all of the best qualities of some of the other excellent matchas I have had, without any of the drawbacks of some that were ok but were a little off in some regard. This one is just right for me, and I will be buying a lot more. Blends and froths nicely too, with great color and texture. Really nothing left to desire! Get some! You won't regret it.

Okay
I love matcha so wanted to try this. Its definitely more mellow and less flavorful. An okay option when you don't want caffeine but I don't think I'll be a regular drinker of it.
