My wife bought this machete to do light tree trimming with the idea of doing some grafting. This machete is too hefty for that use. However, I’ve used it to cut branches up to 2 inches thick with just a couple of swings. Used it in conjunction with a chainsaw to clear a whole area of trees. It is very sharp! Cuts through 1 inch branches like butter! Overall love this for general branch cutting and clearing tall grass.

This is a well built tough little tool. I purchased it for a non typical use. The small tree branches and other stuff had built up between the boards of my deck. This was perfect for the job.

Spectacular Machete!!! Solid, well-balanced and very sharp----especially the heavy saw-toothed blade top!!! It is such an excellent, versatile knife that I just might also buy the longer model. Great price as well!!!

Great machete, heavy and solid. It was not sharp enough to cut. Had to sharpen it out the box. Build quality and packaging excellent

Just using to clear some blackberry brush around the property so far. Certainly effective for that. Very sharp out of the box. A little heavier than I expected, but I suspect that weight would be helpful for some tougher/thicker brush. I think it will do well as an addition to my hunting and camping gear too. Only thing I would have liked to see was a wrist strap. No big deal at all tho…there’s a hole already in the handle to add one with a little rope. Decent sheath that will allow for belt/hip carry. Saw teeth are super sharp out of the package. While the form fitted handle is good/comfortable for swinging and bushwhacking, not so much if I ever have to flip it & use the saw side of the blade. Nitpicking there tho. Overall: versatile & it’ll get the job done. Good product and value for the money.

Nice!, I bought it to help in my gardening this season, and it has really helped. I like the easy grip handle. It fits comfortably in my hand. The sharpness of the blade is a plus when cutting roots on a plant. It's of an medium weight, so its not too heavy in the hand or to swing. Afterwards cleaning it was a breeze. I ran cold water over the blade and handle, wiped in off and returned it to its sheath. Yeah, I like the sheath, its perfect for storing the Machete.

Heavier than I expected. Nice balance. Handle feels good with good grip. I was surprised that the sheath seems reasonable.

Update. Changing review from 5 to 3. Looks good, but if you needed it to exit the "jungle" you would never make it. Will work with it some more to see if there is a learning curve. At this point a hand axe works much betterVery high quality. Good heft to it and good balance, Sharp. Have not tried, I will change review if I run into problems, but I don't think so
