Chronicles of the Kings (Volumes 1-5)

These is my top book series to read. I bought these for my mom as I had read them on my kindle. She wanted them for her birthday - she is almost through the first book and loves it too! These are a must read - it brings scripture alive and keeps you reading. The author weaves her personal story around biblical facts - so interesting and fun to read. These are books you will reread.

If you enjoy historical novels which give you facts in history and also add the ability to imagine what day to day life must have been like during this time you have come to the right place. Lynn Austin is a best at giving the reader an up close and personal feel for what it must have been like to be live out these events in history. Thrilling, heartbreaking, and above all giving you the joy of seeing the Lord's plan unfold as you read through these books is beyond enjoyment.

I have listened to this series on Audible and read it. They are all really great books. I bought the set for my teenage grandson and am ordering a set for my elderly dad too. You will NOT be disappointed in this series. I very rarely give anything 5 stars but these earn it. They are worth every penny and the time it takes to read them. The set makes a wonderful gift

I thoroughly enjoyed reading these Chronicles. Learning about the Kings in chronological order is very helpful in studying the Bible.

Books written in a biblically accurate fashion. Moreover, the extra-biblical things added to fill-in the gaps are illustratively useful.Great read.
