Very NICE!
I bought this for my daughter to enlarge her drawings (it was on her wish list). I actually had her help me to use it first (shame on me)! It worked very well for a poster I was making. Love it and happy we purchased it! Disadvantages... Make sure to secure the medium you are transferring to otherwise the image gets distorted. The view box is roughly 4"x6" (estimating from memory) and if you are going from a larger image, you will have to move it-so you have to be careful to avoid distorting the final image. The enlarger can get hot. Finally, when transferring the image, your hand can shadow where you need to trace. Overall, it does the job pretty easy!

Okay for small black and white enlargements
This is a simple enlargement projector for small pictures. It has a very small area that can be set on whatever one wants to enlarge, but has limited use if doing a mural or large painting. It is portable and light weight. It uses a high lumen lightbulb, not included. The lightbulb doesn't heat up paper or a book it is set on for the length of time it takes to trace onto whatever surface. It does what I bought it for, and the price was reasonable.

No lightbulb
No lightbulb!! Don’t know how I missed that in the description. Works, but the lightbulb search was a bummer and expensive.

Tracer
Many decades ago in the 60's and early 70's I used one of these tracers and they used a simple bulb and worked great. After many years it stopped working and never saw another one like it until now . It is designed a little different but works identical as they use to They recommend a specific bulb and when using that bulb this tracer works flawlessly and is very bright and clear . I have a larger projector but using it can be difficult because it is large This Tracer is easy to use and can be used just about anywhere . If it lasts as long as the old one I had decades ago, it is worth every penny If I remember correct the one years ago was bought for about $10 dollars and that seemed like a lot back then compared to todays prices Recommend this tracing projector for any artist and for any craft work

DO NOT BE SCAMMED WITH THIS RUBBISH
This is a complete waste of money. It doesn't work at all. At first I thought I needed to shut the window blinds and make it more dark. Nope, that wasn't it. The image is blurry and when you go to pull out the lens, it can get really lose and even fall off. Re-threading it is next to impossible. I almost couldn't get it back on. Then there is the lens on the underside. Really? You have to move your image from the bottom in tiny movements. Now you might be thinking, but the product description said this. Yes and no. The actually size of the opening is ludicrous. The tiny increment movements only to have to bring it into focus time and time is ridiculous. Try teaching 30 antsy elementary students while you try to bring this thing into focus several times in one class period. Just forego it, and do your drawings on your white board or chalkboard. Another thing: it is super lightweight and cheap. And you will be hard-pressed to find the proper lightbulb. Like, go to at least 4 different stores to find one that a) will fit, b) produce the right amount of light (no amount is enough with this piece of rubbish), and c) needs to be LED. Once you have chased all over the city for the correct lightbulb, you will go to use it, and find that it is a scam. I'd return it in a second (hey, I thought there was a 1-year warranty), but apparently the seller took the Return option down. Unbelievable!

Not so great
I realize this was a very cheap projector, so I am trying to keep that in mind because fair is fair. However I was pretty disappointed with this item to be honest. I was going to return it but with shipping and the hassle I decided it wasn't worth it, and someday if I am doing wall stenciling it might come in handy. I originally bought this item for smaller arts/crafts, but I see now it is only meant for very large surfaces like signs or walls. The image is very blurry and its cheaply made. If you need something for general shapes/placement this will work well enough I think, but if you need anything for details it might be better to buy something nicer. It would be adequate for things like geometric shapes, but not for anything whatsoever inside the shape. If you youtube search this item for a review you can find a couple and it will give you a better idea of what this things limitations are. Overall I took a chance on this item, and it didn't pan out, but that's ok. Someday its usefulness might reveal itself to me. Until then it'll probably sit in my closet/storage. Also if you buy this item remember you need to buy your own bulb for it! Doesn't come with one.
