This book gets you to understand your dog's perspective and train your new best friend positively with respect and common sense. I really appreciated the way she covered the basic strategies and then moved on to advanced techniques, providing helpful tips and clear instructions all the way. That said, this is not a bullet-point style training book - it is more a narrative style. But if you like London's voice like I do, then you'll settle in and not want to put it down. It inspired me to start training all the creatures in my house and I've already noticed an improvement!

I’ve read my share of dog training books, and a few memoirs with a smattering of training tips throughout. This writing is the author’s journey to guide us to become better members of the human species - through the eyes and perspective of a seasoned canine behaviorist. Dr. London threads personal experiences into the why’s and how’s of various behaviors, human and canine. At times funny, others reflective, but always relatable. To the end, “Treat Everyone Like A Dog” will guide us to be kinder, gentler. Mission accomplished.

I really wanted to love this book. I have great respect for the author who presents important points in this book. But those points are not well developed but rather just repeated over and over.

Such a wonderful book. I appreciated as a dog mom, student and trainer. Well done.

One of my favorite books of 2020, Treat Everyone Like a Dog is one of those few books that actually can make your life better just by reading it. No one walks the walk better than Karen London, by using what she knows about dog training to kindly and effectively influence those around her. Practical, whimsical and funny, I can't imagine not being inspired after reading this book.
