Winsor & Newton Watercolor Medium, Art Masking Fluid, Colourless, 75ml (2.5-oz) bottle

Nice product and does what it's suppose to.

I have only practiced on a small sketchbook but will be using this on a bigger piece. There's a few things I want to say about this product because it definitely gets the job done as long as you use it patiently. I used a thickish layer for the eyes and the cheecks and a bit thinner yet uneven layer for the mouth. I wanted to try something out by patting the mouth part dry with my finger- and immediately regretted it. Make sure the masking fluid is completely dry/a bit tacky and then paint over it. Wait until the paint is around 90% dry atleast and you can easily remove the film by gently rubbing with your finger. I didn't know how I'd know if it came off at first but I was pleasantly suprised to know that as long as you find an approximated edge it very easily rubs off into a colored thin film! I had a very nice first experience with it. 2 other things to note is that the fluid looks very milky and not transparent like in the images shown. Theres also an appalling smell but honestly the products quality outweighs that one con. Now I'm wondering how it'll last with multiple layers. Photo is in natural sunlight.

My first time using masking fluid and it worked just as expected! You only need a very thin layer with this, and it works very well. Thicker layers are harder to get off. When it dries it’s a slight off white color but it doesn’t leave a colored residue when you take it off. Be sure to coat your brush in soap and use warm soapy water to not ruin the brush, but this was very easy to use! And a little goes a long way.

This product has worked well. I have no complaints about its abilities.The bottle on the other hand...I had the lid on properly. I always check, so it doesn’t dry out. The bottle tipped over at some point. It leaked itself empty and dried on a bunch of art supplies before I noticed.If it peels off everything as well as it peels off the water color paper, I should be okay.But so frustrated that a nearly whole bottle is waisted!

Since I bought this, I have used it multiple times on a couple different paintings in the works and it is easy to apply. Use an old brush as it will really gum the brush up and it takes a lot of effort to get the residue off the bristles. Once dry and ready to be removed it comes off easily with rubbing or a gum eraser.

Works very well blocking water from moving. Rubs off leaving no residue behind

Winsor & Newton Art Masking Fluid does the job. My wife is a watercolor illustrator, and recently needed to re-stock. This is her go-to maskoid. Simply to apply, effective at blocking color bleed, and easy to remove. It arrived quickly and in good condition. This should last her into next year. I just received this and used it to help highlight some areas in watercolor paintings. It worked very well and rubbed right off when dried. I purchased the white masking fluid, which I regret because it is so white after it has dried, I can't even find it on the paper! My fault for chosing white. The product is great. You do have to use your own brush because it does not come with one (I thought it would like a white out bottle).

Works the way I expected. Peels off easily even off the brush you use so don’t t throw away the brush you use, just let the brush dry the peel it clean.
