Command Electronics Amber LED 2.5" RV Truck Trailer Side Marker Clearance Light/Smoked Lens

I had run a pair of these in amber on a previous vehicle as clearance lights mounted to a brush guard. They worked decently, so I ordered additional ones to put on my truck bed as side mounted running lights.They are pretty dim, probably because of the smoked lens. But they function well as running lights or clearance lights.However, after about 6 or 7 months, i noticed one flickering. Didnt think anything of it, planned on replacing it later.Last night, i smelled something that smelled like burning plastic and fiberglass. I went around the truck and determined that the light that was flickering had shorted out, completely melting the lens and the foam gasket, and the fiberglass bedcover it was installed on had caught fire from the short.Minimal damage to the truck, but i'll have to obviously replace the light.Unknown reason for the short, its too damaged to tell. Could have been a bad light, could have let water inside, wires could have been damaged.
