Storelli ExoShield Head Guard, Military-Grade Head Protection, Foam Padded Headband

I am an adult using this while ice skating. My head measures 21 1/2, and I bought a size 4. It fits, but it feels a bit tight. I am not sure if a 5 might slip off, though. I am not sure if it will stretch. I am not sure it the tightness will make it uncomfortable. I wish I had ordered both a 4 and a 5. The item seems well made and is fairly cushy, and about 1/2 inch thick. It says it is machine washable. I am an adult woman. Maybe if it is worn adjusted down a bit in the back, which is like the image in the description, it will be OK. I hope this helps someone. ***UPDATE!!!*** I used it twice and it is great. It feels like it is made from a firm memory foam and it is comfortable for me. The first day I thought it would be too tight, but it's not. You don't want this to be loose or it might not protect when needed. Good product. I have not fallen and hope not to, but I feel this product will cushion my head fairly well if necessary.

My duaghter is 12. Competitive travel soccer player. Recently diagnosed with a concussion. Not from playing soccer but from tripping over a dog toy in the house and doing a face plant. Go figure? I always told her once she got concussed she would be wearing a head guard for the added protection. I understand that these guards do not prevent concussions but I am a firm believer that a little protection is better than nothing. If I were to purposely bang my head on a wall and I had the option of wearing this or not wearing it, I would be a fool not to wear it. If it stops her from getting cut from hitting another players head than it was worth the small investment. I have purchased the full 90 and the padded headband. They all are not what my daughter considers a fashion statement. I purchased the Storelli because it didnt look too cumbersome. She likes to wear her hair up in a ponytail and this headguard seemed to accommodate it the best with the best protection. The first couple days she complained a little as she was trying to figure out how to put it on without messing up her headband and her hair. She now likes to slip it on first around her neck, put up her hair and then slide the guard upward. That seems to be the best technique for her. She actually commented that she thinks it doesn't look to bad, kind of like wewring her ear muffs on the cold days. We ordered her a size 3 according to the website (21.5 circumference- typical 97lb girl) but it may be a little too small? I may have to order her a size 4 which I am not too happy about and having to fork out more money as she already used it Also not knowing if the size 4 will be too big on her. So overall she/I am happy with the product thus far. Thanks Storelli. I would suggest different colors per my daughters request. Make it more of a fashion statement.

Looks cool and hopefully protects my kids. Told the coaches if they wanted my kid to play he had to wear it. Had issues with a few coaches making fun of the headband saying it would affect heading, didn't really work, etc....one of the coaches boasted that in his 40 years playing he only cracked his skull once...that is once too many for me. Looked into protective head gear when we played a team that made it mandatory for all players. Storelli does a great job at having a stylish piece that is protective. Others look like something a wrestler would use (orthodontic head gear-esque) and others look too small to be an effective deterrent. Aside from protection it is practical. I love that I can throw it into the washer and dryer, it comes out smelling clean and like new. I have three boys ages 13-16, they have been wearing the Storelli ExoShield for the last 3 years. No problems heading, etc. Biggest problem has been dealing with coaches and the stigma from that...boys want to impress the coaches, as teens they don't care so much about the parents, so? I reminded the coaches that this item may protect my child, if he isn't wearing it because of a coach's comment and gets injured I will be coming after said coach...Yes, it is that bad. Meanwhile: Other parents always ask me where to buy, etc. Be the trend setter. In my opinion, they look cool and intimidating, all while protecting you. Would be nice for the coaches to get on board and maybe even have a player endorsement or two. I think that it will be as synonymous with soccer as shin guards and cleats...it should be.

BUY THIS! Bought this for an elderly person with balance issues. That person loved the fact that it looked like athletic gear instead of a crash helmet, and it provided much of the same protection, as far as falls go. This headband literally extended that person’s life for a couple of years due to it protecting the head during falls. The material is thick and somewhat rubbery in a good way. Would recommend to any person at risk of falling.

This is in my opinion an excellent product, lightweight and sturdy, and it came as described from Amazon Resale. However, Amazon Resale mailed me the incorrect size. I am not downgrading my review of the item, but "buyer beware."

My daughter suffered a concussion playing soccer so to be safe we bought her this headguard before she resumed playing. It fit well and seems to be a quality product but the color black was a mistake. Her 1st game back was a hot sunny day and the headguard being black heated up her head until her face was fire engine red and she said she felt like she was going to pass out. She has not wore it since. Black was the only color option and obviously not the best choice for an outdoor sport played in an open field on hopefully sunny days. Would not buy again if black is the only color option which is to bad because it seems like a good product.

Good quality, and it’s good material also washable The thing is; it has to be tight of course because if not it can fell off but better to double check head size as it can feel very adjusted it only gives you +-1cm or less

Bought this for my husband who has taken up Pickle ball. He had a fall playing it & hit his head. Unfortunately, it did not knock any sense into him as he continues to play. He is almost 75yrs young but hey ho he is fit. He says it is very comfortable.

This is my 3rd purchase because my boys will wear only this for their soccer games. I can’t find the size on the packaging this time though?
