This is a fairly solid replacement charger, but if you're looking to use it (as I was) as an on-the-go charger, this may not be the one. It is NOT actually compatible with the A/C adapter piece that usually comes with Mac chargers so that you can plug the cube of the charger directly into the wall - it doesn't come with that part of the adapter and if you attempt to use an official Apple one, the connection is not tight enough to really charge without holding the charger in place (the piece doesn't sit flush), and it sparks scarily when you try to adjust it. I think if you're using this as an at-home charger and use it only connected to the cable it comes with (the longer extension cable with the three-prong A/C connection) and aren't moving it around a lot, it would be fine - I've been doing that for a couple of months with no problems. But if you are, as I suspect many are, wanting this as a back-up charger to use while travelling or just using your laptop out and about to work in different locations, it's limiting since it's not a reliable charger when moved and plugged in, and doesn't have the flexibility of using the other Apple part.

Works great. 4 stars only since the first shipment started failing only after a week of use. 4 stars since they replaced it and works great so far. Will update on how long it lasts.Update: After a year, still works. So changed to 5 Stars. Thanks.

This product is a direct replacement to our apple charging cord. Holding them side by side the only difference in one has a apple logo and the other doesn't. I was very impressed by the quality feel and look of this cord. So far it has been great and i would recommend it to anyone. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.

really bad I only use it for a little over a month. after a won't work, funny as soon the 30 days warranty expires.

The cord is a good length but not very thick. the charger gets very hot so i don't leave it plug in all the time.

This product works, it heats up and has me concerned. It comes with a square charger block for the power adapter. I prefer a longer cord version because the square adapter means you have to put the whole power block over an outlet. This can cause issues with other cables.

I was pleasantly surprised this came with a charging block - the cord is bit thin and weak looking but that’s how they used to be

I bought this MacBook charger as an additional one to use it in my office. It was shipped fast and it proves to be as good as the original Apple charger but at a fraction of the cost. So far it works perfect.

Just bought this product a few weeks ago, already doesn't work. Poor connection, it won't charge, terrible product, buy the genuine apple charger if u want it to last.
