Marina Naturals, Red/Yellow Dracena Silk Plant, Medium Fish Tank Decoration, PP106

My veiltail betta LOVES this plant. It's full and thick with plenty of places for him to hide, plus it's tall enough for him to rest/float on the leaves the way bettas love to. BUT BUYER BEWARE - this item has multiple sharp areas that WILL TEAR YOUR BETTA'S FINS. Less than 48 hours after putting this in the tank, my betta shredded his tail for the first time. After chopping off all of the pointy grass parts and plastic pointy leaf toppers, it seems safe enough and he's a happy camper once again. I would have preferred to have the item be fish-safe from the start though.

I bought it for my betta fish. The leafs are made of silk the rest of the plant it’s plastic. I cut all the sharp parts and softened with a nail file making it safe for my betta fish. It’s big enough for a 3 gallon tank.

I wanted to love this but no longer than 6hrs in the tank with my beloved beta Barry, he died. There were multiple pieces of the plant floating around and along the bottom of his tank .I wanted to get him a safe plant but turns out I was mistaken and it cost my beta his life. There were pointy hard plastic pieces on top of the plants plus the fuzzy sticks in the middle that look like a pipe cleaner (is what was floating in his tank) were not what I’d call safe as he tried to eat them as they detached so easily. I’d like to blame anything else but this was the only new addition to his tank and he was completely fine prior to adding it after it was washed in water. So disappointed and heartbroken

It looks really nice and my fish seems to enjoy sitting in the soft leaves. I recommend cutting off the hard prickly green pop cleaner like things sticking off the base. I think they’re a bit to harsh for me to feel comfortable allowing my betta to swim up against. Otherwise it’s perfect! Had this for 3 months and there’s a tiny bit of fraying on the leaves but not enough that it’s noticeable at all. Still looks new and green in the tank!

This was reaaaallllyyyy slim when I got it. But I took a lighter to the plastic and molded them out a bit. HUGE difference. I also took out the fuzzy bits and added them to other fuzzy bit plants I purchased to give it a little depth. Over all. My tank is amazing.

I bought this to add to my Betta aquarium, where I also house two guppies. They all love it, but of course my Betta loves it the most. I've never seen that fish so excited about something! lol I love that it's made of "silk" and I don't have to worry it damaging my Betta's delicate fins. Awesome product, would absolutely buy again!

I absolutely love this plant. It was very soft and provided a lot of good coverage until I could get real plants. One thing to keep an eye on is that this can be a little bit dense. I was newly cycling my tank, so there was an algae bloom. However, I still will say this is the best fake plant I have had. The rock it is attached to is fabulous, and stays in the substrate with no issues. I could see this doing well in a sand substrate as well!

This is perfect in my 5 gallon beta tank. The male beta uses it to rest in. Amano shrip keep the leaves clean and hide in its leaves. And interest in the aquarium.

i kept the item as needed urgently for my betta fish who had caught his fins on the hard plastic plants in his tank which iv now thrown out, this just looks very cheap with a big blob of glue showing at the bottom. I had to cut half a dozen green hard plastic stems off straight away so my fish would'nt get damaged on them, and how they can charge £5 plus for post is amazing !!!! and which of course i didnt pay as ordered with other stuff. (it actually fits in a large letter). i think a tenner would have been more than enough for this item, deffo not £16 plus.

Ridiculously large packaging box for transit.ProsPlant has nice colourCons1. Stems won’t stand up in water. They mostly lay down along the aquarium floor.2. The silk was noticeably frayed after only a week in the tank and is only getting worse.Cheaper alternatives I purchased at the same time are staying upright and are not fraying yet.

Looks good. Nice and tall, moves around with the water flow. Just looks a bit tacky on the stem joints. But really good for the price.

Good quality artificial silk plants - have been using this for about 6 months now and doesn't look quite as good as it did when i first got it and the edges of the leaves have frayed from fish trying to eat them.

Nice and realistic silk plant, larger than expected and looks really good underwater.Big problem with DPD delivery (not the first time) which is only reason for 4 stars, PP sorted it out asap and great customer service by them.
