The DWE6421K 5 in. Single Speed Random Orbit Sander Kit with hook & loop pad has a 3 amp motor that delivers 12,000 OPM. The separate counterweight reduces vibration and along with the rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. A shorter design allows users to get closer to the work surface and the one-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors.

**Q: What does hand powered mean in power source?**
A: It is moved around by hand when on. Don't worry you don't have to hand crank it.

**Q: Does it use Velcro sandpaper pads?**
A: According to the description this sander uses sanding discs which attach with hook and loop, which I think is the same thing as Velcro.

**Q: So this uses velcro to adhere the sand paper to the tool instead of a hook&loop system? if that's the case, is paper hard to find?**
A: Hook & loop IS Velcro. Velcro is just the trademarked name.

**Q: What is the purpose of the batteries? It is electric but the description says it requires a battery.**
A: Even the product title seems to be messed up.  "20V MAX Orbital Sander Kit, 5 inch, 3 amp, Corded".  If it is corded, it is not 20V; that would be for cordless (battery).
