does This inverter Abel to supplies 40 amp to start a electric motor 2hp?

40 amps sounds steep for a 2hp motor. If it is 120v 2hp electric motor, chances are that it is under 10 continuous amps but will draw 15-20 amps at start up. Most 120v and 240v electric motors draw UP TO 2.5x the continuous amperage for start up. However, that is a high figure. I'm not sure where 40 amps came in to play but if it is running at 40 amps × 120 volts = 4800 watts. If it is 40 amps at 240 volts it will draw 9600 watts and I would not run that motor if that is true. I would be comfortable with an 8000 watt inverter assuming that it does not draw more than 1.5x its amperage and it is 120v.

how to install on my car?

You must installed it in the trunk with thick wires (gauge 2 minimum) connected to your car battery. If you withdraw more than 1,000 watts from this inverter you must have your car running otherwise your car battery will have no power to start your car's engine.

This inverter is not a good choice for whole house application... unless it is a "micro house" or small cabin. It is only one line of 110V AC. Enough to run a TV, fridge, washer, microwave and all your lights, but not all at once. Recommend a 10-15k watt 220V whole house inverter. More money, but will do the job and you can easily patch it into your breaker box.

WOW, is all I can say

exactly as described and pictured. i am using this as my power source for my cabin. it is not any problem with the inverter, but i have a ceiling fan in cabin, and when i switched from power company electric to inverter, I have to go to the light switch and power light off and back on to make light come on.... like i said not a problem with inverter, but electronics does not recognize the wave form at initial power-up... I am already making plans to purchase another one so i can have roughly 55 amps of power in my cabin.... GREAT PRODUCT.....

Great price and shipping

This is my second Wagan inverter and couldn't be happier with it. I installed the first one in what I thought was a water proof containment that I made. It's in the shop to be repaired. My fault. The new one is installed inside the motor home and is working great. Great product and great price from Amazon.com.
