I used elf eye shadow primer and also the elf mist and set setting spray. Eye shadow should not fade that much after a normal day with not very much activity. I am very happy with the pigmentation and how most of the colors apply, but they don't have the longevity to wear for a full day without some fading. The colors are closely matched to the Urban Decay Naked 1 & 2 palettes; some of them are almost exact dupes. There is fallout and you'll need to work a little to build pigmentation and blend, but with primer the staying power is great for the day and the colors are beautiful. WOW! I watched a lot of reviews on YouTube on W7 line of eye shadow pallets before purchasing off of Amazon, that said to be direct dupes of the Urban Decay Naked eye shadows with comparisons and all. Though I don't own any UD Naked pallets because I can't justify spending $50 plus on them, these shadows are superb! I love neutral eye shadow looks and I have to say using these on my eyes was like applying a rich pigmented butter of beauty. I did use an eye primer but I did not have to use a lot of shadow to get color to show on my eye lid and there was no fall out either. Pallets come with a cheap brush and foam tip applicator but I used my Real Techniques eye shadow brushes, which did a lovely job. The shades are beautiful and there are a couple of nice mattes thrown in as well. I would probably use the W7 Lightly toasted and Colour Me Buff for more special going out looks than every day simple eye looks yet this is great set of pallets to have in your makeup collection.
